He's making a trip back to UT 2 weeks later for the spring game, he's clearly very very interested. I have to imagine our staff is going to pressure him for a commitment. Maybe he shocks the world and commits before Gentry.

Could definitely see that happen.

Maybe if he were to come alone but if Rump is on visit that won't happen. ND tried to push for a commit at a Jr day from Michel that killed their chance.

Is Rump a control freak HS coach with his hand in the cookie jar or just a nice guy looking out for his players?

Guy spent yrs in league and was a highly recruit player in his day so Im sure he's looking out for their best interest.

Would be the smartest thing he's ever done...ever

I don't see anything wrong with Gibson's comments about Jennings. Of course the commitment list of the schools he's considering should be a factor in his decision.

What did Gibson say about Jennings' commitment? Missed it.

I don't see how it is at all in Gibson's best interest to wait until December to commit.

He isn't an EE so what the negative? Imo if he's truly open it allows him to make correct choice. Look at all the decommits bc of visit highs.

I don't post in here very often.....In a side by side comparison of Gibson and Gentry...what makes one better than the other at QB

Here's what was shared:

Gibson isn't worried about competition, but is paying close attention to quarterbacks signed and depth chart situations. "I don't know him," Gibson said. "I'll have to watch his highlights. I'm not afraid of competition. But, other schools may have a better place for me and I'll go there."

This was the next part in that article...

Gibson is already diving into the details of each program with only one month before his date to narrow things down.

"I'm getting into it right now. I want to know everything right now, I don't want to wait later," Gibson said. "Regarding the depth chart, it depends on how the player performs next fall. It might be go in and compete and may the best man win."

Sounds to me like he is a little afraid of competition. I think if Jauan Jennings shows out this fall at QB, we will be out of it for Gibson. We might already have two QBs by then anyway.

maybe he is humble? it would be pretty disappointing for such a highly touted prospect to be scared to compete

Thanks BB...I like it on here...laugh hard...and get loads of info and tidbits...enjoy all of you...even Oskie...like I said wasn't trying to derail and make anything personal....I'll try giving SOME things a rest after making a point.

Don't. If everyone that opposes these guys opinions stops after one post. These pages would be very lopsided with one opinion from arse kissing fans.

I hate FL as much as the next guy, but I'll tell you, I get pretty sick of everytime a FL fan passes on information or gives an opinion on here a certain person post "Eff Florida" and then gets 20 likes for doing it. It stopped being funny after about the hundredth time I read it, yet I saw it again today.

If you are passionate about your opinion, give it as many times as you like. One of the things I like about LV is that no matter how much hell he gets from people, he doesn't sway in his opinion, until proven otherwise. Bruin was the same way.

Did I miss the memo on when the Mods put a limit on how many times an opinion could be stated?

Edit: Oh yeah, and I happen to disagree with your opinion of TG. Doesn't change my opinion of these guys being an azz to a fine poster though.

I said "we get it, you don't like Gibson" and that's too much for you baldbiker? 7 words and you write a novel. It's okay to say whatever you want as many times as you want but some of us shouldn't point out if we think it might be overkill? Makes sense.

Screw them Butchna. Say what you want. How ever many times you want to. EVERY damn one of them repeats things a hundred times WHEN THEY think it's cute. The only reason you're catching hell for it is because you're not saying something cute that agrees with their opinion.

Personally, I read EVERY single one of your posts, because I think you are quite humorous. Whether I agree with your opinion in the post is beside the point. It is still funny.

You keep posting. I'll keep reading them. :hi:

Google "Torrance Gibson Tennessee" and we are right there on the first page of results. I'm all for spirited discussion, but this is a public forum. You never know who's looking.

I just don't think we should bad-mouth recruits for the sake of trolling with completely unfounded, non-football related remarks about 17-18 yo kids. If you want to say "screw" me for that then so be it.

I'm going to table a little bit...but you worry too much about outsiders....we're not going to sway Gibson yay or nay...screw google this time...let somebody else do the works on you :yess:

It's just me and my daughter nowadays...this place is an escape...I give a little serious opinion mixed with what I consider sports bar talk...Gibson has all the talent in the world...if he commits next week...ahead of Gentry...I'll root for his success...I hope Gentry edges him out...because I think Gentry is better for our team...if those kind of opinions are so tiresome on here that it's become "unbearable"...I'll bow to the majority...stir the tea leaves

Overreact much? Geez... Lol
