Ryan Callahan....

I believe he is [still in town]. He told us yesterday that he was planning to stay until tomorrow, but I don't know for sure about that. Some have said he might leave today.

I haven't heard anything on Gibson today, really. I would recommend not reading into every single Crystal Ball pick that's made.

I wonder if TG's reason for waiting until after all his official visits after the season is because he personally doesn't believe he's going to be a QB at the next level and is treating his recruitment from the perspective of a wide receiver.... as in what other playmakers and QB are committing to which schools.

Good point. Matts42012 said in the Dormady thread that we are set at QB with QD and JJ. But Matt said we would be nuts to think that we would stop recruiting TG...makes me wonder...have we been recruiting him for a different position all along? Maybe that's why he didn't attend Gruden's camp...what do you need to prove when you know you aren't playing QB at that school?

The other thing I've noticed is WR recruiting has really quieted down lately but with no commits...just throwing that thought out.

This certainly makes sense to me, too. It's certainly odd that he's just hanging around campus still.

Could be. I had felt maybe some schools wanted to see him some more at QB as a SR before deciding to take him as a QB. Thought maybe that could play into him waiting so long to decide.

WR IMO would be slowing down quite a bit. I doubt we take more than 2. Williams onboard and Jefferson, McCleskey, Woods, and several others as options(maybe Gibson) for the last spot I don't think there is much to worry about there.

All I know is if he gets Gibson to sign with the good guys, we need to start the search for the finest chunk of granite to start Butch's statue.

Wait, so now TG knows he doesn't have what it takes to be a QB, so he is waiting til the end of the year to commit as a WR.

WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS STUFF?

Rereading this thread's beginning, it was extremely positive until the announcement to announce his allstar game... Then everyone turned on him... Also, Leb was almost nonexistent at the beginning and now is 2/3 of the thread because he's basically giving a subtle "nana nana boo boo I'm better than you, stick your head in doo doo" because he appears to have been right here.

I may have been nonexistent because I did not like the idea of TG at QB. When it looked like it may be possible at UT, I had to jump into the fire. "Bonzi"!

Someone made like a word map for a thread on here that filtered the entire thread and figured out which words had been used most and who had posted the most... I'd love to see that for this thread!

I've really enjoyed this recruitment. It's had everything I love and hate about recruiting rolled into one thread. Very entertaining.
