Transport problems happen but I'll say it again if he wants to be here, it will happen. If he doesn't make it in, move one to someone that wants to be here.

Do these kids really not have cars of their own or at least cars they could borrow from a parent or relative?

I get that not everyone's family has those kind of resources. I bought my own car at 16 years old for $2500 after busting my butt at crappy summer jobs for a couple years. So I get it, I really do. But he's getting a free college education. A couple hundred bucks to rent a car for the weekend is pretty small potatoes. And it seems like almost everyone I knew had a car at 16...which was only 5 years ago. I imagine its more widespread now.

I imagine with the wisdom gained over your next 10-15 years, you'll see how irresponsible it will seem to turn loose of a 16-17 year old kid on a 15-hour car ride without supervision. Even if he has a car, I wouldn't let my kid drive 15 hours to a QB camp by himself, or even with a friend.

So who wants to apologize for doubting Torrance Gibson?

I don't know I have doubts about this kids work ethnic due to his behavior over the last 24 hours...

This 17 year old was too lazy to publicly comment on his whereabouts which jeopardized the mental sanity of neurotic 40-somethings on an internet forum.

Indicates he's lazy and selfish. Not something we need for our Vols.

I honestly think Gibson wants to be an Vol more than a Tiger. The issue that is holding him back is the question if Tennessee will be truly back under Jones. If we make it to a bowl game I think Gibson will see his future is at Tennessee. Plus every game that Auburn loses this season will help push him to the Vols.

Not sure what to say other than that's unfortunate, for a multitude of reasons, but I can't imagine myself seeing any such thing. This theoretical kid of mine is 17. He's on the precipice of being a grown man. Time to sack up. I would almost certainly be accompanying him on any such trip out of fatherly interest in his future, but any 17 year old not mature enough to handle a simple roadtrip with a friend, teammate, or by himself isn't the kind that needs to be going away to college in the first place.

And for the record, this "couldn't find a ride" business is still ridiculous. If you want something done, do it yourself. If you want to go somewhere, pack a bag, get in the damn car, and drive there.

It's really not that complicated.

He's in Knoxville...

So you, as a grown adult, can stop questioning the testicular fortitude of a 17 year old.

If that is the case, why claim that AU now has a "lead" over Tennessee?
