I know. Just who I prefer. We'll likely end up with Dormandy

If we get Dormady, then I'm #TeamJennings...I'll support anyone who wears the orange and white, but I'm not particularly happy about whiffing on a top-tier QB prospect two cycles in a row. If that were to come to fruition, that is.

He is fluffin it up for the writer, all these kids do it.

Plus, the writers fluff it up.

Speaking of Fluffin, how bad would it suck to be a chick doing that job. She doesn't receive any time on film, lol

I imagine there's all kinds of sucking that goes on in that profession :)

Indeed. Just hope the NCAA is watching closely, with boots on the ground...fannies in the pew. Whichever. :)

Malzahn knows how to get his QB recruits paid. Offering plate then...maybe a tip left at the restaurant, this time.

To be honest, I'd rather we not take a 2nd QB if we can't land one of the upper tier prospects. Having 3 QB's in 2015 wouldn't be that problematic, IMHO. Many teams only have 3 scholarships QB's on the roster.

I think the important thing for us is to make a major shift in the Wins/Losses column. That is what most top prospects are looking at. Once we get back toward the top of our division, those prospects will come. The reality is, it's a tougher sell until we do.

I personally think Dobbs will beat Worley out, in the fall and will really shine this year. His performance in the O/W game was just too impressive to ignore, if you are CBJ. And I think we finally have the pieces in place to flip the script and win the SEC E division this year.

Then we can pretty much take our pick in the 2016 class.

Did UGA ever really push hard for Torrance?

The reason I ask is because UGA signed both of his teammates last year... Michel and that small WR. Just figured they may have wanted TG, but he wanted nothing to do with them. He doesn't really fit Bobo's system anyways.

Torrance is not a pro style drop back passer and UGA runs a pro style offense featuring a drop back passing attack. Gibson os not a fit there as a QB. In fact, Gibson will not fit as a QB at many schools because of that.

Dormady may completely break out. I love the kids sophomore film. I believe he is a top prospect. With the summer camp circuits, it wouldnt shock me to see him break out. Watch his film, its pretty darn good.

Guys, please don't bash because it's an honest question. But why would Gruden make such a difference in his decision? He wasn't really known as a QB guru or anything like that. Sure he does the QB interviews before the draft and I know every high school player would want to meet him, but why would that make such a difference in him picking UT over Auburn? He won't be there to coach him in college. It's a staff and scheme thing, and Gruden can't change that

Gruden is now basically perceived as a QB guru. Part of that is because his pre draft sit downs and workouts, but the perception of Gruden is very high for young people. He absolutely will help Tennessee with any kind of endorsement.

Dormady will blow up this season. If he is still growing like they say, all he has to do is shine at a few camps and his first few games and we'll be demanding he get his 4th star. Kinda like the QB for Auburn last year (but he won't blow up that much).

I'd prefer he not blow up. Stay low key, have a good SR season passing and he's quietly a Vol on NSD.

Better they don't see it coming.

But you know that would cause aches and groans on VN. Some of these people will only be happy if we get all the 5*s and big names,

Biggest mistake people make IMO is worrying about how many stars a kid has.

If he has 4, he should be a 5.

If he has 3, the services are just stupid he should be a 4.

If he has 2, who cares.

I don't really care if the kid is a 2 or a 5. If the UT coaches are recruiting him, gotta trust em.

Its June 1 and i really find myself not even worried about where this kid goes. This one just got pretty tiring very early on for me.

I'm in the same boat. I was all in early on. But after the first handful of "announcements" I decided to abandon ship.

AU Rivals takeaway on Gibson -

He wasn't what I expected at all. We're talking about a young man who was bumped from his team's spring game for an off-the-field issue. I'm thinking he's a maverick; I'm expecting Pat Sims. Instead, Gibson was a congenial and very friendly person. Quick-witted and sharp... He's totally at ease around reporters, obviously. I got the sense that Auburn is his leader with Tennessee relatively close behind in second place. He really likes this offense and he feels like he can come in and bring at least what Nick Marshall brings, which is a lot. Very cool kid. I like him a lot.
