No, I think we absolutely need him more. But it makes it sound like he's a commodity instead of an student athlete.

I don't know. Just bugs me. Guess I'm trying not get my hopes up.

Every school is recruiting him for his football skills/assets, which are a rare commodity. He is not being recruited for his classroom prowess. It is an absolute meat market and Josh is a filet. I wouldn't get too down about it.

"For Clemson fans that follow recruiting, I wouldn't get your hopes up about landing Josh Malone." That's a tweet from a Clemson 247 staff member, Jacob Putnam. Boom.

Does anyone know JM's desired major? Perhaps UT offers a degree that Clemson does not.

Clemson is an engineering school. The list of majors at UT should be much larger than Clemson's. Both are good engineering schools, Clemson being superior in that regard. But I think UT has more to offer in terms of academic variety.

That said, I am not sure if Malone is super into engineering, but UT having a whole lotta new facilities coming up for the engineering program, I don't think this will play a factor in his recruiting. It is a push.
