Antonio Brown is one that credits Butch and Z for preparing him. The Wisconsin walk on turned star by coach Z Jared Abre- who knows how to spell the rest of his name.

Look at what he has done with North and pig in less than a year. North was a hs rb.

Love how everyone just has to look for negatives and ignor positives.

Dabo isn't reason those others are successful. Chad Morris who may be leaving this offseason is.

Butch grew up as WR coach. So you get Butch, Z and coach jake coaching you. Not bad mix I might say

Pretty sure dado is and has been the wr coach. Antonio is the jewel in azzanni's crown.

I'm more worried about Malone looking at the 5* qb they have committed vs our ugly ugly ugly qb performances this year. Hopefully they've been showing him a lot of fergie film.

That's true but do they have thread with over 8000 post wondering where he's going. This size thread rivals the Gruden era.

the size of a thread on VN has nothing to do with how Malone has handled his recruitment. He has done nothing but work hard to become one of the most sought after recruits.

but yes, there have bigger and crazier threads about recruits

Vol74 brings good oboe, but he's always had an axe to grind with regards to Malone.

Not true.

I honestly thought he was awful last year (as did most), but I've seen a completely different player on the field this year.

And I've shared what some of the recruits thought about his personality and how he acted around them and the coaching staff.

No axe grinding... just the facts.

If he signs with us . . . .

Fair enough

Things are going good I can't complain. I mostly lurk now and rarely post anything anymore.

I never slowed down.... I have enjoyed the ride, Have taken a lot of flack because of "Back in the day" LOL

But I love Volnation...so ., Anyway hope you post again more often, also there is a thread in "The Pub" called "The coaching search family, several of us still post over there" Hope you stop by some and say hello

Looking at his register date I take it that Vol74 wasn't here for Bryce Brown or Jesse Scroggins or Markeith Ambles or etc. To be honest Malone's recruitment, outside signing a financial agreement, has been pretty uneventful.

NuKeese was my personal favorite as so many posters went from hating him to wanting him and calling him a double agent for Meyer within hours.

Literally the only way to complain about the way Malone has handled his recruitment is to have a grudge against him that is clouding your judgement. The other option would require such a high degree of ignorance and lack of the simplest thought processes that you would probably not know how to open up a web browser to view this thread. So I will give you guys the benefit of the doubt....you have a personal agenda against Malone for some reason.

Ahmad Dixon was a crazy recruitment. I remember him switching from Baylor to UT, then back to Baylor.

Forgot all about him. He turned out to be a pretty good Safety for Baylor.

Yeah he's done well. That's why I love recruiting, because it's fun to follow these guys and watch how they end up doing across the country.

It takes all kinds....

Sorry I'm just more partial to Vic, TK, Jalen, etc. that decided to be Vols, help build this class, and never waivered.

That's fine, but calling a kid and his family sensationalistic for being thorough in a HUGE life decision is silly, and it further adds to the notion that you have an ax to grind with Malone on a personal level.

IMO, that family has gone about the process in as professional and humble manner as possible. I don't see anything to lend credence to the belief that he is an attention whore. Not every kid is ready to jump in head-first to a program with a coach who hasn't proven anything like TK, Hurd, and Vic did. Thank goodness they were willing to do it, amd got the ball rolling, but you can't fault other kids for taking a more cautious approach.

Not quite, but let him pick anyone other than the Vols, and see where your agenda goes. :)

Seriously though, I am off work today and I'm just throwing a wrench in and enjoying some high-quality, Volnation anticipation. Which ever way the pendulum swings tomorrow, this thread is going to be in shambles.

Of course, there is a great chance I may hear something a little sooner than tomorrow, but I've promised myself to be a good boy on this one. :birgits_giggle:

IMO, it would have remained uneventful until FSU got butthurt and leaked out to the media that Malone signed the FA agreement with the Vols. IMO, Malone was never going to sign one with anyone else but the Vols. His recruitment turned into a little bit of a circus the last few weeks because FSU couldn't swallow its pride and shut-up. I still go back to the fact that Malone signed the agreement with the Vols over a week before anyone even knew about it...sounds like that is when the decision was really made. I may be wrong and he may end up at Clemson, but it seems he chose to be a Vol a while ago.

The general consensus seems to be that there’s nothing more Tennessee could have done to give itself a better chance with Malone. The Vols have battled back from being a fringe contender perhaps on the verge of elimination several months ago to being one of the two teams to beat, and they have pulled out all the stops over the past few weeks in an attempt to beat out Clemson and Georgia down the stretch.

One source close to Malone’s recruitment marveled at just how much effort UT had put into recruiting a single player and suggested that, if Malone doesn’t choose the Vols, it’s simply because he wanted to go somewhere else — not because of anything Tennessee did or didn’t do in his recruitment.
