These kids really love making their decisions a surprise, huh? Many times it just isn't. If they really wanted it to be a surprise they should announce as soon as they decide for sure, IMO.
I know I'll probably get ripped for this, but I see it as a character flaw when kids wait until NSD, just to wait until NSD. If they were truly team-first, they'd announce their decision as soon as they can so they can help recruit other teammates.

I think it simple...a kid should announce his commitment when he is absolutely certain of where he wants to go to school. If that is his Junior year of HS or 3 weeks after signing day. All of this, wait til NSD stuff gets old...but the commit early then shop around is equally annoying.
He's announcing on December 4th. If anything, he's more of a team guy for delaying it just so some of the other kids at Station Camp could potentially gain some attention this season
Or they can announce on signing day on national tv to get momentum for the school.
I read on a Georgia board that they offered 3 star WR Nate Brown from Suwanee today. He's been committed to Mizzou for about 2 months. Might be an indication of how they feel about their chances with Malone.
Zehr who posts here says he is likely to end up at ND. It was in the Booth thread .
Heard from a pretty reliable source that it's between Oklahoma and Bama. Lets just say I live in Gallatin and word gets around.
I've been told that Malone "Thinks he's too good for Tennessee." ... He's pretty hard headed and everyone just gets the vibe that he wants to go out of state and not 'settle' for playing for the big in-state school that he's probably being pushed towards from the media and fans...
He's got that I'm gonna do my own thing attitude from what I'm hear..
It may be time to cut bait folks.
Yes, it may be. I spoke to someone definitely in the know today.
A former Vol's father was there with me where he trains. You know where he trains and who trains him? I do.
Glad that ESPN knows more than those in his inner circle.
We are not completely out of the picture yet. but we are as close as you can be compared to the other teams he is considering. Proximity to Tennessee or home has no bearing in his decision.
Let's just say that I spoke with someone with ties to UT, to the NFL, and has been working closely with him daily in many roles for three years. He gave me the scoop and details.
He is a 100% take. However, we are not in a position of take here at this time.
We are currently at the bottom of his list of schools still in the mix.
Just posted some real and accurate information that is better than what Hubbs or Fortenberry have.
