We are not completely out of the picture yet. but we are as close as you can be compared to the other teams he is considering. Proximity to Tennessee or home has no bearing in his decision.

Let's just say that I spoke with someone with ties to UT, to the NFL, and has been working closely with him daily in many roles for three years. He gave me the scoop and details.

Yeah We should definitely take Lauderdale and Booth. Both 4 stars. Lauderdale could come right in with Kameel and give us some more experienced WRs. Booth to me has been one of my faves and one I'm hoping for because he lives ten minutes from me. Just a solid WR. Route Runner and good speed.
Lauderdale is like a sexy pick up. He showboats a little bit or maybe it's just a bad habit holding the ball out. Definitely talented, physical which I love: run right through tacklers

Malone would be great, but he doesn't seem to be on our sauce. Seems to want to get out of Tennessee. So whatever. Sucks but what can you do. I don't know of anyone else we are after hard. Couple guys from Florida maybe? McCrary or Benjamin? something.

Of course Ev.Berry could be there, Truitt if he ends up a Vol could be. As well as Cream2. Vic. Lee is a slot guy. Definitely could take one or two on the outside. Lauderdale seems like he could play SEC football to me.

IMO we should take Booth and Lauderdale. Seems like Malone isn't interested in us as much as we thought.

so if were not out of it, and as close as any other team, why would we cut the bait?

shucks... if a kid has interest in any another school, we should just stop recruiting them... itll work well

sidenote: i dont think we get him, but giving up shouldnt even be an option this early

You guys sound like a bunch of quitters, enough of this losers mentality. So and so's brother's, cousin's trainer that is close to Josh, told someone that he said he doesn't wanna come to UT. So what, until Josh personally says it to Butch, recruit the hell out of him and every other great player in the country, whip errrrrbody's azz during the season and let's see what happens in Feb for crying out loud.

exactly. also have to take into consideration, some of his top school might go through coaching changes that he does not like

Lauderdale is not a sure Vol at all IMO. He just visited uga and seemed to like it a lot. Would love to get him in orange and a part of this years class though. I feel good about Booth. I thin Malone and Lauderdale are very much up in the air right now.

Getting Cornwell is a must in order to get back in the hunt.

Butch should not hold off other top WRs recruits and put them in a holding pattern while waiting on Malone.

IMO if we are not Malone's number 1, we have to keep working him until we are. CBJ almost pulled Boyd last year with limited time, and would have probably gotten him, if not for mama. I know mama may be a very big factor here also, but CBJ has more time to win over mama this year. You recruit guys like Malone until you are completely out of it, and then continue up until NSD.

Malone had stated he would hold off and commit later in the year (i believe he is an EE). not sure that would be a good idea (holding others off) unless the other wr targets are going to commit later. how many wrs are you guys taking? i know UGA is taking 2 more at most.

If Lauderdale and Malone commit I doubt we would take another. Maybe add Booth but not likely. Malone is a +1. If we took Booth and Lauderdale then Malone said he wanted in we would make it work.
