^ That's how I'd feel if I were an objective ESPN analyst or maybe even an overly cautious and instinctively pessimistic fan who's afraid of being hurt again, but lucky for me I'm just a Vols fan, so I'll assume Jalen Hurd will be yet another great running back to add to Tennessee's rich history of great running backs. I prefer not to pretend everyone is going to suck just to insure I never get let down. Different strokes for different folks as they say.

My issue is of the things you can say about Hurd, you call him "soft"?

I can see where (though I don't agree) you could say he isn't a prototypical RB, injury prone, and quite honestly I can't think of anything else.

This just shows a lack of knowledge or bitterness. Maybe both.

He said, until he does something, he's not crowning him the king of UT, which is totally understandable.

I also find it a little pathetic that your username is "oldvol49" and you're using the term "gator".

Hurd plays so hard, he blew up his own shoulder while playing safety.... that's boss. Good thing is we're not asking him to lower the boom like that. Completely different approach from hitting a ball-carrier when compared to delivering a hit at the goal line as the ball-carrier.

Jalen and his family have heard it. They know it's Tee Martin, but they could care less about his opinion.

What Jalen found most funny is how Tee followed him on twitter after the fact. #chump

Tee can give his opinion, it's fine. He would not have said that if he knew the video was rolling. Blowing this up is stupid. If you could put a recorder in any coaches office, there would be bodies hitting the floor

Speaking of Chuck. My wife watches that real housewives of Atlanta show and he is on there a lot just looking at how crazy those women are. Random

Well Jalen can definitely use that as motivation to shut the doubters up. I know all VOL fans hope that he will be a future star.

When Hurd committed I was just awaking from a liquor coma in a sand filled bed down in PCB. I hooted, hollered, and drank until the rest of my people were up and ready to go!

Yeah he is a regular

Chuck was in Knoxville last week working on technique drills and skills.

Chuck is always good in my book. He hurt his coaching career with his sidewalk rant but he is passionate about the Vols. I don't want it any other way from our greats

If you don't want to believe he's a Florida fan then that's up to you. I read his posts and he clearly has more good things to say about Florida than he does Tennessee. He goes out of his way to condemn Tennessee and our players. That's what I see and believe. As far as you finding my username "pathetic" I didn't come up with it to please you. I'm in my mid 60's and I've been attending Tennessee football games since 1964 so I am an "Old Vol". I'm probably old enough to be your grandfather so I don't need a kid like you telling me what to do. In case you've never noticed the term "gator" is commonly used on this site as a crude reference to Florida gators. Sorry if it offended you.
