I have the opinion that Hurd will never amount to anything at UT. Same as the rest of the freshman. That way if they suck, it was expected.

But, if they amount to even 1/2 their potential, it will be EPIC

Let's be honest. That is not why you have that opinion.

I have the opinion that you have slipped away from your gator board again. You need to get back and hug on Muschamp some more.

Jayson Swain called up Tee on one of his breaks and asked him about this comment. Tee said he didn't know where this came from and that he hasn't had any dealings with Hurd. He said he was glad that Hurd is at UT and wises nothing but the best for him.

Didn't say that part sorry

You just keep making that Gator bullseye on your back bigger with statements like this. Jeez. Must really enjoy the abuse IMO ....

Too late to delete......damage is done now. USC will have to live with knowing they are the cause for all the pain Hurd is going to be putting on people.

As if the rest of the country didn't already hate them enough already.........now there's this.

As for five-star freshman Jalen Hurd, two sources in the past week have told us he’s already the quickest tailback on the roster despite his 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame, and that he also has the quickest feet. Not surprisingly, pad leverage is something Hurd’s going to have to improve at this level, but once that happens he could have a big, immediate impact. He’s clearly separating himself from the pack from an athleticism standpoint.-247 Sports

Have you Hurd the good news?? Spring game is going to be fun.

Soft isn't the word I'd use to describe Jalen Hurd. Soft is what I'd use to describe the Pac 12. Soft and jealous.

@JaysonSwain: Just talked to Tee: "Never had any dealings with Jalen Hurd and wish him nothing but the best at TN. He's happy he's there"

If this is all tee said, he never denied it. I mean it sounds just like him..but who knows..who cares.

Hopefully Jalen uses it as fuel.

If Jalen blows up at UT and ever mentions this as motivation, it could go down in tennessee vols folklore (sp?). That combined with Tee turning down a job to stay with Kiffin could in effect black list him completely in the eyes of most fans which is unfortunate.

TIFWIW but I heard that Tee turned down the UT job, because his wife wanted to stay in LA as she felt it was a better platform to relaunch her career.

The same Tee Martin who when asked why his WRs sucked and dropped so many passes replied with: "I don't know I never played WR."

Tee Martin can kick rocks.

Thanks for 98 but everything else eff outta here!

I hope Hurd turns out to be the best RB ever. However, I hold the opinion that until he does something, I refuse to anoint him as the greatest. Some of our fans toss so much praise on these kids, and then when they don't meet those expectations, those same people bash those kids as failures and busts.

Hurd has a lot of area's of concern, he has shoulder issues, he runs upright, and he has been injury prone. However, he also has the "ability" to be a complete game changer.

So, I hold to my belief that he will struggle, and then if he does, it's expected. If he amounts to even 1/2 of his potential, he will be an All-American. If he can stay healthy, and lower his pad level, he could be one of the best players in our history.

But, he has to earn those accolades.

Thank all the former Vols for their contribution but f' all the guys who left and didn't want any parts of us. When **** gets rolling again watch how them start crawling back. And when we get a chip don't hop on board.

Shout out to guys like chuck smith who despite leaving on not the best of terms still comes back to work with our young DEs and LBs ...

I've seen a couple of people say this. Injury prone? How so? The only thing I can remember is his shoulder. That does not constitute injury prone though. It's ONE.

Maybe I'm just not remembering right, but I would have thought it would be bigger news here in H'ville if he had had multiple injuries.

If it's ok with the rest of you, I'll just continue to sing his praises.
