I went back and reread the beginning of this thread & when he commited. This place went absolutely ape shat like it hasn't gone ape shat in a long time.

I did too, starting page 136 with the Swanson bomb. That was good reading, i wasn't on this board until later, but that's pretty funny to read the preceding posts. It was getting awfully tense!!

I was in class when I saw on here that he committed. In the middle of my 8am, I stood out of my chair, threw my hands to the sky, and screamed "**** YES!". My professor wasn't happy.....at all.

That's some asinine drivel right there. It's hard to get physical when the other players are dropping like fainting goats when you are barreling down hill at them.

Tee obviously didn't watch him play defense either. Because he straight up destroyed his own labrum whilst laying out some poor fool.

"Publicly bashing" is a bit much.

It was said in the background of an instagram video. I had to turn up my speakers loud to even be able to hear it or make out what was said. Obviously he didn't know he was being recorded.

I don't agree with what he said, but in no way can you call that publicly bashing.

There are a lot of people that are worried about Hurd. He could be the best tailback we have ever had, or he could never even take a snap in college.

We hope for the first option, but thinking about it logically, he's had 2 surgeries on the same shoulder twice, they've had to go in and surgically reinforce the shoulder because of the damage. And that's scary with any RB. If he injures that shoulder again, his career is probably done.

Hopefully he never has an issue, but even analysts and mods have said that the shoulder is cause for concern.

Apparently the comment was recorded without Tee knowing in their NSD war room, so it wasn't intentionally public. Still kind of scummy of Tee

Calling him soft isn't what got me, Tee said "he's soft and terrible"

Tee needs to watch himself

If Jalen blows up at UT and ever mentions this as motivation, it could go down in tennessee vols folklore (sp?). That combined with Tee turning down a job to stay with Kiffin could in effect black list him completely in the eyes of most fans which is unfortunate.

I have the opinion that Hurd will never amount to anything at UT. Same as the rest of the freshman. That way if they suck, it was expected.

But, if they amount to even 1/2 their potential, it will be EPIC

I typically don't ever get any "insider" info. This time I have a piece and will share. That wasn't Tee, it was Peter Sirmon who made the remark about Jalen being soft.

I have little concern who said it. I do have an interest as to why it was said. What are they basing this perception of Hurd? Is it valid? Should we have some concerns?

Not sure if serious. Go search up Peter Sirmon on Youtube, the voice sounds nothing like his. Besides...why would USC's LB coach who is from the Northwest be "commenting" about a player he likely had zero involvement in recruiting?

Can't remember, but wasn't our linebacker coach the main recruiter for Hurd?
