Might as well be a top 2 with that group. UA is recruiting him as an athlete and he wants to go to a school that only wants him as a RB.
Kid is crazy if he thinks Meyer will keep him at RB. If that's the case UF would have had Derrick Henry and James Wilder locked down before he quit. Nothing but sauce.
Good friends with several of the coaches at Beech, and when I say good friends I mean we have been friends since kindergarten. Immediately after the game Friday, I called my buddy to talk to him about Jalen. According to him, and he IS a prominent member of the coaching staff, Jalen's got a dislocated shoulder. He should be out a while. I also asked him about Jalen and where he wants to go to school. He said, " Jalen is keeping his options open at this point. He gives 'leaders' because he has people calling him everyday and this is only the beginning. I don't expect him to choose a school anytime in the near future."

K...I think UA sees him as a DB. Even though UA has Bo who will probably end up at WR and he has even said he thinks WR may be his best position in college, we should get Thomas and no way if there is a chance to pull Fournette would we risk taking Hurd as anything other than an ATH. And UA will probably not land Fournette either. Both UA also has Vickers and Michel looking that may be better RBs in college.
Jalen was more of a decoy last Friday night against Gallatin. Beech is overall a very good team, and it seems that they are wanting to rest him up for the playoffs.
I think in the end he may very well sign with the Vols if the Vols bring in a big time coach. At this point, I'm not as sure as some that's going to happen. It will be interesting to watch Jalen in Nov/Dec. I'm excited![]()
Nothing ground breaking, but just heard Jalen wants to be at UT. However, we had some set backs with him and aren't at the top. Apparently took Bama off the list for wanting to change his position. So as long as we get a decent coach that will play him where he wants then i'd say the chances of landing him next year are pretty good.
I've heard quite the opposite. Hopefully you're right though, cause I really don't want him at Ohio State or Florida.
