Ive measure out at 73% body fat but the 27% muscle is right where it needs to be. Im on a diet plan also. I plan to eat the he\\ out of food today. Does Jalen have a realistic chance to see significant reps from the get go or will they ease him in until he gets aclimated with blocking schemes and what not?

I don't think it's a stretch to say that Jalen is a legit 6-7% BF. Also probably not a stretch to say that those "bod pods" aren't 100% accurate.

Also not a stretch to think that Jalen does indeed have freak genetics. I mean, he is a 6'4" 225 lbs 17 year old kid who runs a 4.4 40.

You are completely right. Unless he gets in a hydrostatic bf measurer, I'm going to be as sceptic as anyone. They probably measured with a caliper and those can be completely skewed by a number of things. Jalen Hurd is not 5% body fat. Professional body builders only stay at 5% or under for competition for a week max because it is extremely unhealthy. With that much muscle mass, unless he has the greatest genetics the world has ever seen or on steroids, he's not 5%.

As someone who performed many hydrostatic weighing procedures as a research assistant, I agree that this method remains, arguably, the "gold standard" for body fat measurement. However, even underwater weighing is subject to error. As this webpage illustrates (Body Composition: Hydrostatic (Underwater) Weighing), the largest source of error intrinsic to formulas used in this method is residual volume, the "amount of air remaining in the lungs following maximal expiration."

In performing this procedure, the subject must exhale fully, bend forward slowly until the top of his/her head is underwater and remain motionless in that position until the scale has settled and the computer indicates that it has a reading. Persons who do not swim rarely fulfill these criteria for a long enough period of time to get an accurate reading.

Jalen Hurd is a thoroughbred at RB glad we got him. He's built to take some wear and tear in this league. Glad he's taking the game serious outside of his physical gifts. :)

Wrong, it was already stated that UT uses a bod pod to measure body fat composition.

Can't be understated how driven the two bell cows of this class are. These aren't your Kiffin's 5-stars.

They don't use calipers. It's been established they use bod pods. Carry on.
