The significance is who are going to add to the fold after (hopefully) he commits? Are we closer to being dine at safety with TKjr or is it our 1st CB?

Another significance could be if someone thought our coaches were lying to a kid to get a commit.

The last part is what I'm concerned with. Hubbs has said Gaulden would most likely be at Corner at UT. With TK committed, Safety isn't a huge need. And UT is sitting pretty good right now with another S prospect... Cortez.

I was just wondering if there was a mix up somewhere....

Just because the staff has talked to him about playing corner doesn't mean he's 100% going to be a corner. And that quote from Gaulden I just posted doesn't mean he's 100% going to be a Safety.

What is 100% is that UT leads. Go Vols!

I get it, would not be good if coaches were telling this kid he is going to be a safety, but intend to move him to corner. I just think if both feel like he "could" be an effective corner you dont worry too much about it. I have seen some breakdowns on the numbers by position Tennessee is projected to be looking to sign, can anyone tell me how many safties and corners we are hoping to sign?

Heard Charles Davis once say he was a hs qb and recruited to UT as such. Said on the 1st day of practice Majors had him and 7 other hs qb's working with the db's. Talent will end up on the field.

I wouldn't compare him in size but Gaulden is kind of like Lemond Johnson in the since he can play corner or saftey. I think nickel back is where he ends up imo.

Yep, that's the Franklin I know and despise. He was on 104.5 here in Nashville yesterday spewing a little crap, not really yakkin it up like normal. Did claim that "half the state" would want the radio station to do a daylong remote from Vandys campus/football facilities. The way he said it made it sound like he thinks half the state pulls for UT, half for Pansybilt. What an ass. UT fans own the entire state, including Nashville. What an ass that guy is. Delusional.

On an early commitment from Gaulden...

I could see him doing something this spring. He has said he didn't think he would do anything early, but Tennessee worked on him hard last weekend.

There r a few ppl I've talked to that say they think he could become the best defender in the state this year. I know his hs should have a nasty secondary.

I don't dislike him fr acting like that, he just really, really wants to win. but I can see through his bs. We all can.. He's just ssoooo full of it, it's hilarious. I guess u have to have an over the top character like that to bring any attention at all to vandy..
