'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

Happened to be reading 24/7 and found a prediction for him as heading to UT. Do you reckon he's still a take or has he lost his spot now that we have something like 31 and could end up with Malone? Who would you take if it came down to it? Malone or Lauderdale?

Malone over Lauderdale all day every day. Pearson took Laudersale's spot IMO.

I think the only way he has a spot is if we miss on Malone.

I don't want to miss on Malone, I'm feeling like he is a Vol. IF for some reason we don't, Lauderdale again, would be nice to fill that WR spot

i am as well. His videos are off the chart. I think everyone needs to take look at his film again. Lauderdale and Pearson could start right away for us next year and would give our Passing attack a huge leg up IMO. I would love to have Malone as well but If we lose out on Malone I would take Lauderdale anyway of the week.

What makes u think that Lauderdale would do so well vs SEC dbs? Not saying the kid isnt talented, but at the rate our younger guys are developing and coming on, you dont bring in two juco guys and assume the previous starters would go to the bench. Jucos dont have as much time, so they are gonna go where they can get in early and often. We simply dont have room, nor do we need to take 2 jucos this cycle. It sends the wrong message, and thats why we cut ties earlier this season. I dont think it was ELs decision.

"Tennessee is still recruiting Lauderdale and I think if Tennessee were to really press it would be the Gators and Vols. He's visiting Florida this weekend and is planning on visiting Tennessee in January. If the Vols get Malone I'm not sure how hard they go after Lauderdale."

What depth?

Correct, we have depth problems across the board to the point that one recruiting class no matter how big is going to resolve. It will be at least 2015 before we can have depth comparable to the upper part of the SEC. When you lose half of your class every year you just don't have depth. I want to get to the point where walkons and freshmen (unless they are spectacular) are not in the two deep at the beginning of the year.

I really hope we get one of him or Malone. We really need one more playmaker at WR and they both fit the bill. I prefer Malone because he's coming straight from HS so has 4 years, and is going to be a beast, but Lauderdale is very good in his own right.

"I’ll probably take a few more official visits,” Lauderdale said. “I’ll probably take one to Tennessee, one to Arizona State and one to Washington, but I don’t have any of those set up. I was going to enroll in January but the SEC isn’t taking one of my classes so I’m going to enroll in May now.” GB 247

Backup plan for Malone IMO

He mentioned that muschamp will move more toward a fast tempo offense. Interesting to recruit to a system you want for 3 yrs and then change it again. Asking for issues IMO

never had the horses or OL to be pro-style from the jump. He still could have been a ball control running a spread/read option geared O. Most HS in Fla run some form of spread so the learning curve is smaller. Kids really have have to get bigger and stronger. Muskchump is clueless.
