I am nearly speechless over what Coach Jones & staff are doing on the hill. I mean, really, the #1 juco WR to go with what this class already has committed? Really?! WOW!

Welcome, Eric. Add your name to the future NFL first rounders. Thanks for your confidence in the Big Orange.

Now lets go get some big old hairy beast lineman on both sides of the ball and another bruising LB.

I thought we would get this guy but not this soon. The peanut butter still flows in his veins

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

"It's Wide Receiver U," Lauderdale offered. "And, they're running a no-huddle offense this year. I saw what they did at Cincinnati, they threw the ball a lot and they're going to do the same thing. They'll probably have three or four receivers in the game and he said they want to get up to 90 plays a game."

Since visiting in June, Lauderdale has thought he wanted to be a Vol and although he wanted to check out other schools before making a public decision, his relationship with coach Jones won out.

"I've known where I wanted to go I was just trying to see what other schools were going to offer me and I know I'm probably going to get more offers during the season, but I already knew where I wanted to play," Lauderdale said. "I have a good relationship with coach Jones and at the end of the day I knew where I wanted to play. So I just went ahead and did it."

Lauderdale said he's grown close to Jones, a former wide receivers coach himself, during his recruitment and the first-year Volunteers head coach is one of the main reasons he wants to be in Knoxville.

"He's always told me he loved me," Lauderdale explained. "I told him I wanted to take some more visits when I was there last time and it was because I just wanted to see some different schools. I told him I was coming, just don't rush me. I guess he believed me because we talked every week and he just kept telling me he loved me and I was his number one target and so I did it today."

After recording 60 catches for 916 yards and seven touchdowns, Lauderdale knows other teams are likely to come after him with another stellar season but he believes he's found his next destination.

"It's just where I want to be because I've been thinking about it. I know that other schools are going to offer me but at the end of the day I want to play at Tennessee," Lauderdale said.

Butch is a special coach I can feel it. The players and recruits know this and have bought in, it's only a matter of time until the fans do also. GBO!

Is he going to be an EE and how many years to play?

Someone said 3 to play 3, but that article said he had 900 yards receiving last year, and I don't think he was in Hs.

So I'd say 3 to play 2. Maybe 2 to play 2.

Totally agree, Butch was absolutely the right hire. I really believe he has the potential to be better than Fulmer was. Jones is getting some great talent to come to us and as soon as we start winning again, even more bigger names are going to line up to wear the big orange. What he has accomplished in the short amount of time he has been here is staggering.

"I've got a close relationship with coach (Butch) Jones and coach Z," Lauderdale told InsideTennessee. "Ever since I talked with them, they've been wanting to get close with me. Like each week I talk to them. I just like them as coaches. I like their program, I like Tennessee's program for sure."

On Coach Z:

"He's been wanting me since Day 1," Lauderdale said. "He's been kind of begging too, but he's been cool about it. He told me straight up that even though I was his No. 1 guy, he was going to keep recruiting other receivers. I liked how he kept that real 100 with me. When I took my unofficial there, I enjoyed my time. I kind of knew after that I was going to go there."

When asked if he believes Azzanni is the type position coach that can mold him into an NFL-ready wideout, Lauderdale replied matter-of-factly: "Yes, he can."
