'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Def day 1 starter or major playing time at least

Maybe... but I have to say that I really liked what Saulsberry was doing before he got hurt. At times he was nearly unstoppable.

I think McCullers getting credit for some of Saulsberry's plays may help big boy's draft status. :)

I missed the end of the Texas/Iowa St game last night. Looks like Ole Mack Brown is lucky to still have a job today with the refs not giving Iowa St that fumble at the goal line. I guess it could've went either way but I thought it was a clean strip and fumble.

Also, epic post game speech from Iowa St coach Paul Rhodes. That had to be tough in the locker room after a game they felt like they won.

Mack Brown was as happy as if they just won the NC in his post game presser. He's on very thin ice. I don't see how he's the HC there next year the way they're playing now.

Hopefully things like paying players keep popping up in Tuscaloosa and Saban darts to take over the Big 12.

Edit- Sry, wrong thread

Mack Brown = Fulmer 2.0

Tennessee is a tougher job than Texas JMO

Much much tougher. Being in the SEC helps UT but Texas is Texas regardless of the conference. I think the talent in TN probably represents 1/8th of the talent in Texas.

Their conference is extremely weak compared to ours. They could have UK's football team and walk out with 6 wins and a bowl berth with their schedule.

JMO.

Lambert has 25 tackles to go along with four sacks and three forced fumbles during that stretch, but even he's been playing banged up. "I feel like my game can be better," Lambert said. "I've been doing pretty good at stopping the run, but I want to get to the quarterback more. I want to pick my pass rush up just a little bit."

"I talk to them every week," Lambert said. "I got word that coach Stripling is coming to see me play this week. I'm excited to see him and I plan on showing him what he's going to be getting."

"They have been telling me they can't wait for me to get there," Lambert said. "They think I can come in and play right away. They want me to be that speed rush edge guy and they need someone that can get after the quarterback on third and long. They are losing several guys so it's key for me to come and play."

"I texted Jalen Hurd a few weeks ago," Lambert said. "I talked to Dominique Booth this past Sunday. It's good to hear from those guys. We are all excited about being leaders for our team and we have big roles coming in next year."
