'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

@DaLamb89: This all the #Vols Followers I'm gone get?? I'm in Tennesee and this is all I get!! Show some love #vols

Some of you twitter people need to get to work. We need D-line way more than we need these showy positions that some of you pee in your pajamas over.

Since he asked, I told him to add 1 more.

If you want followers, commit to Tennessee and watch your numbers go kaboom!

Seems like he's just trying to get followers out of this. Pretty sure Jawuan James tweet about visiting to get followers was ab this guy.

Shocking. The guy that is predicting Florida is the one who is pretty spot on. Most of the crystal ball guys are guessing at this point.

He's generally pretty blunt about UF's chances with someone (whether the chances are good or bad). If this were GatorCountry saying that Lambert was heading to UF, it would be a different story.

Also, of course the crystal ball is a guess.

That crystal ball thing is a gimmick to get people to sign up for their site. I wonder what its track record has been thus far? I'd go around 30-40%.

people want predictions thats a fact in recruiting sites now you dont have to ask you can just look at a kids profile i love it personally

It's got its uses, but I think people put too much stock in those predictions. Especially when they change their "prediction" right as a player commits to keep their track record from slacking

I like it too, it's a good measure of at least who leads. I will say Lambert to UGA as well unless they take Gaillard or Shaw. Congrats on Clark. Huge pickup. (Literally)

According to P Fort, Lambert told him we are in his top 2 with Florida, with neither team having the advantage over the other.

"Just talked to Davonte Lambert...

Tennessee made a big impression as the Vols are in his top two with Florida and there is no order, they are both tied at the top.

Lambert spent a lot of time with senior defensive linemen Corey Miller and Daniel McCullers and they let him know how much he will be needed next year. He had a lot of good things to say about Tennessee, most importantly the Vols are at the top with Florida. We'll have the full story later this evening."

Yeah, who knows where things will stand following this visit. I was just taking a little jab back at you.

I'll say this. UF's staff has felt very confident about Lambert even during the time period where all the 247 guys were crystal balling him to UGA. Stampini, I believe still has him to UF..........and he's usually pretty spot on. Leading into this visit I believe it was a UGA/UF battle, but this weekend could certainly change that.

Does Clark's commitment change anything for Florida?

Clark's commitment was unexpected. I don't think it changes anything with lambert....but it probably does with Lamin. Lambert and Lamin play different spots on the dl, but if also prioritized lambert over Lamin as well.

The crystal ball boys are a joke.

When are we expecting a decision with this one?

I read a few pages back and didn't see it mentioned. Sorry if I missed it

Would not be surprised to see him doing something quickly. I would like to think McCullers could have sold this kid on Tennessee during his visit. McCullers point to him coming from the same Juco and being projected early in the draft. "You can do it here as well Davonte". He was smiling in his UT jersey pic and not in his uf one. I'm calling Vol.

They're just making a prediction from the information that they have. Everyone wants to know where those guys think a recruit is going, so they do them so that they aren't constantly being asked where they think someone is going IMO. If anything it just goes to show how fast things change in recruiting and that even the experts aren't always right. Just my opinion.

Thanks.

Since he was able to visit this summer he will be an EE if I am correct on the rules. Academically this kid should be in good shape

I actually like them. People give the guys a hard time for changing their prediction but following a kids visit, other kids committing, offers, and other things, where a kid ends up can change minute to minute. How can anyone predict a situation like Truitt? He gets 100+ letters, loves UT, twitter is all UT, one day and after we take a surprise commit in Powell, he is off the board. No way to predict that stuff.
