Wasn't this the one Rob Lewis said he wasn't hearing much UT chatter on? Grades to get in SEC were an issue, no?

Correct, but there was a lot of optimism that Tennessee was gonna try to get him qualifies and into UT.

Outside of Ellis and McKnight I really don't know where you turn to for frontcourt help.

If you think those 2 are physically ready for sec play not sure what to tell you. Will they play if there's no other option? Sure. However you rarely see a 3* big that weights <200lbs come in and b successful freshman year.
Anderson did it last season, but suffered late and on the road.

JMO, but thought it was inexperience in the front court throttled their season.

This was my original post...

They had a 5* and 4* freshman in their frontcourt both weighing well over 200lbs and still struggled, does that not further prove my original point?

Yes. I was trying to support your point.
Where do we go from Ellis for experience?

Good point.

Ideally those guys can get spot minutes, or even 1 of them possibly redshirt, but given our situation that's unlikely. I think we likely turn some attention towards McKnight, but that's speciation on my part, no info at this point.

What about the Pollard kid, any news on him? I know he has a sketchy past but he is an elite talent.

I'm holding out hope for Justin Martin from Xavier. Unless I've missed it, there's been basically no news about him out since he announced he was going to transfer after graduating.

He's probably the best available grad transfer right now, but he's likely a 3/4 and we are currently stacked at those positions given Cofer re-signs.

Yea idk, maybe that's an ace up his sleeve that Tyndall uses. Closes out his class with Pollard, now that would open some eyes, WOW.

And he could walk in and play center from a physicality standpoint, I'm hoping they try, but I wanna stay calm right now.

Yea that's been odd on the no news thing, I mean there's literally been nothing mentioned on the kid, he's been silent.

I do wonder where he would fit though, he's 6'6" 205lbs, so he's more of a 3/4. That means he enters the field of competition for PT with Hubbs, Richardson, Moore, Cofer* and Owens*.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good get because he would and likely allows you to RS a guy like Owens which would be ideal. However, I have to think Martin probably is wanting to go somewhere he's gonna start and get big minutes.

Well is Pollard publicly being heavily recruited by any other colleges? I am just wondering if everyone is being all hush hush about it because of his past.
