Anyone concerned with the fact this guy is 6'10 and only 205? Not going to get much of a presents on the paint with that sort of frame, unless the dude is the second coming of KD, which I highly doubt.

.........the only refreshing post I've read tonight. Having been a touring rock and roll singer for a couple of decades, I've participated in (as well as started) more bar fights and drunken revelry than anybody else I know. However, after flat-lining with a pulmonary embolism fifteen years ago, I developed a close friendship with Jesus Christ and Bible reading (not thumping) is now my #1 activity. All I can say is whomever can't accept that folks can and do change, then they need to change themselves, so, instead of being hypocrites and cutting the kid down, pray for him.

Guess I don't understand what you're implying?

I'm simply saying the kid could have straight A's and not have the necessary math class that only the SEC seems to require. The not having the math class would lead to "work needing to be done in the classroom" without meaning he has grade issues.

My 2nd point was, if a kid is indeed struggling/failing that's none of the media's business and therefore folks other than the student themselves should not be disclosing that to an outlet such as VQ. And I would imagine privacy laws or basic ethics would prevent that. I always wonder how media personnel know HS kids grade situations unless the student revealed that information.

The math class is not a requirement for other schools....I wouldn't take extra classes that weren't required for me to take.

Anyone remember A. W. Davis from Rutledge Tn? He was as skinny as a rail and was All SE and All American. With a pressing defense and a fast breaking team, lean players are what you need. I would love to see him playing for Tennessee. The S&C coach will put some muscle on him and he continue to score, defend, and rebound.

What I have heard lately suggests to me that Tennessee isn't putting a lot of effort into chasing him. I wouldn't rule it out entirely, but seems very unlikely that he's going to be a serious target based off some things I've heard in the past couple of days.

Well, that was unexpected turn of events. It was my understanding we needed JUCO or grad transfer bigs and he was high on the list. Thinking qualifying issues are the deal killer or maybe CDT has another ace up his sleeve we don't know about?

If you read that he says, "what he hears suggests we arent pursuing him any longer but isnt ruling it out". Talk about hedging with no commitment. In other words he doesnt know but since we arent hot & heavy on him right now we must have moved on.

I can guess to, maybe the staff knows he is a vol already if his classroom work gets done so they arent spending a lot of time recruiting a silent commit. May be wishful thinking on my part but I think he will b a vol if his academics work out.

100% agree

I think he's in a holding patterns, for a lack of better words. Basically if you can get your grades in order we've got a spot for you, if not, better luck next year we may still need ya.
