I think it's a good strategy. Visiting him now, in St. Louis, gives CBJ and staff more time with Jackson and his family. Moreover, Jackson will have the time to let CBJ's message sink in before he heads back to school in Cali with all the distractions. CBJ won't be just another coach in line waiting to get in the door a couple weeks before signing day.

For some reason I've got a feeling that we get this guy. Maybe it's because he has said he will shock everyone on signing day. Idk, fingers crossed.

I like the strategy. Outside of the good points everyone else has listed, this will give us a good idea where we stand and how likely we are to land him. We need this kid but if it's not in the cards at least we know that we can take another commit and not be caught in a numbers crunch on NSD.

I'm with you. This recruiting class has blown us all away, so why not get the cherry on top? With everything he has accomplished so far, I see no reason why we shouldn't have full confidence in CBJ to close the deal.

NCAA question


Could CBJ visit with the family in the AM in illinois and with AJ in the PM in Cali and it be considered only one visit???


My guess is that he could do that and it be legal.

Actually I believe a recent quote said that is what we are trying to avoid since travel time wastes a bunch of time for the in home visit. Get them all together and maximize time.

I like the move, Only Florida and LSU I think it was had met with his family so far. So, this gives us a chance to make up some ground

Yeah, but does it sound as good as:

10 am: Butch and entire staff arrive via police escort.

12 pm: lunch with family

5 pm: dinner with family

7 pm: end visit

8 pm - ?: Bring Adoree on a ESTL strip club tour

I think the rules regarding contact with the family is a gray area. Remember when Sleezeball I mean Kiffin met with some of the families of recruits at one of the all star games IIRC it was during a dead period as well. Maybe the rules have been changed since then?
