'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Well one thing about it, if we don't land Adoree, it certainly wouldn't be from lack of trying. This staff gets an "A" for effort. Dooley would've just sat around and waste time.

i know. i just dont remember my sign up date. i actually signed up in like December and had to wait like 4 weeks before my account became active for some reason.

just checked my profile... 4 more days

Because freak was debating on whether or not he should let sab have an alter.. ;)

I like the strategy. Outside of the good points everyone else has listed, this will give us a good idea where we stand and how likely we are to land him. We need this kid but if it's not in the cards at least we know that we can take another commit and not be caught in a numbers crunch on NSD.

That's a great point. I hope we get him. Butch Jones just pumps me up.

For some reason I've got a feeling that we get this guy. Maybe it's because he has said he will shock everyone on signing day. Idk, fingers crossed.

I really hope you're right but going to UCLA would be more of a shock than coming here IMO.

Is there an official article or link on this Butch Jones visit? Any link someone wouldn't mind sharing?

When is this supposed to take place?

Perhaps I missed it in the thread with it being so busy.

One of Jones’ first stops will be in the St. Louis area, where he’s expected to see five-star cornerback Adoree’ Jackson while he’s at home with his family before he returns to Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, Calif., for the start of his spring semester there. It will be a bit of a calculated risk for the Vols to use Jones’ visit with Jackson almost three weeks before signing day, but it’s an interesting strategy that could pay off. Tennessee will be one of the only schools — and perhaps the only school — that will get a chance to sit down with Jackson and his family at the same time leading up to signing day rather than sending coaches to see Jackson in California and his family in Illinois on the same day.

Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Southern California and UCLA made the top six Jackson announced Jan. 4. USC once was believed to be his favorite, but there have been some indications in recent weeks that the Trojans no longer are one of the teams to beat. Florida and LSU both are believed to be high on his list, but Tennessee remains very much in the picture with Jackson entering the stretch run leading up to signing day. Oklahoma, much like the Vols, seems to have quietly positioned itself to be a bit of a darkhorse contender.

Even if it doesn't work, what a heads up play by Coach Jones to schedule the visit then. Props to him and this staff for putting in the hours and work on the recruiting trail.
