Welcome to the interwebs, granny. That's what people do, here....opine. It ain't about shaking pom-poms 24/7. We all have different opinions, and this is one of the places where we voice them. If you don't like it, then just go hang out where opinions aren't allowed....like maybe UTSPORTS.com.

Coaches make good decisions and they make bad ones. That's why you have so much volatility in the coaching profession...cause they are fallible. Even good ones make some really dumb-arse calls from time to time. Everyone was ticked that Kiffin left on his own. Guess what? He was a freakin curse. He told no less than 3 Heisman candidates/winners (Cam Newton, Bryce Petty, and Tajh Boyd) at QB, to "Beat It!"

When Dooley was hired, if you dared to question him or any of his decisions, idiots like you said the very same BS. But only now that he's gone, he's a valid target for criticism.:loco: Either they are right or they are wrong, and when they are wrong, why can no one say so until AFTER they get fired, Capt. Brainiac? Please 'splain that one. :blink:

Again, I like CBJ, but that doesn't mean he's beyond criticism once in a while. If Dobbs has a break out game this week, then that does indeed prove that CBJ made a bad decision (by not letting one of the Freshmen get some valuable game experience). I just wanted him to let one of them get some SEC game experience for situations like this (injury to Worley) or for next year.

If the upperclassman is struggling and all you got is freshmen, then funk that Redshirt BS. That redshirt shiite ain't gonna do squat for this season. Let one of them play and see what you have. Conversely, if Worley is lighting up the scoreboard, then maybe you smarta$$es have a point...but he hasn't.

Again...CBJ said himself "HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE HAS UNTIL THEY GET LIVE GAME EXPERIENCE!" You can't find out if we are concerned about their damn redshirt status!

Oh, come on now. The only difference will might be that there are a couple of more running plays lie a QB draw or flank Dobbs out and have Pig throw him a pass. Worley had all the play book down, but he had to have all the freshmen receivers learn the play book. Lets get real about what is happening.

How about you shut up. Harris has been injured all year until recently so we are preserving his medical redshirt and Croom is still a redshirt freshman trying to find his footing. We throw to North all the ******n time. Get over yourself.

I think it'll open up due to the parties involved, who had similar exposure to the playbook....compare Worley, hard working, gritty but learning the third scheme of his career on the fly, with...not to mention visible accuracy issues... to an elevated aeronautics major with a photographic memory whoooooo ran the same scheme in a stellar fashion...albeit with lesser athletes...last year. Don't spit out your rice krispies Volin...Do I KNOW this will happen?...No...do I feel reasonably confident in it...enough to spout out on a message board?...it just happened :dance:

I thought Harris played recently?

Edit: Yes, he played in the Bama game. I remember now. So he shouldn't be eligible for a medical redshirt.

Okay, I didn't see that. However, dude still needs to stop. Just because wide receivers are tall doesn't mean they should automatically play. Matt Milton had the same problem. 6'6 but had hands of stone and therefore never played. Paul Harris is still a freshman and since he obviously is still trying to grasp the position, if shorter guys are ahead of them in that regard, then they should absolutely play. He'll get it, just like Croom will and when they do, we will have a huge, talented, experienced corps...but until then, the ones that have shown the ability so far should be the ones to play.

I think the reason Harris hasn't played much is he's coming off an injury if I remember correctly.

I had heard something similar. That his injury has slowed his progression and he isn't in game shape or game ready from a skills standpoint due to lack of practice.

I have followed his situation (and Croom's) closely this season, and he was only injured some during fall camp. My concern is Azzani...he strikes me as a College Frat guy. The kind that is highly subjective about letting you into their little clique. Been waiting to hear in interviews just what is going on with him and Croom.

Mizzou is a good example, as is TAM, of a team successfully utilizing the size advantage they have at WR. We have it, too, but simply refuse to use it.

So, going back to the reference of "breaking out the Ferrari," I've been waiting all season for that, too. For me, it's not so much impatience. It's that we really don't have any other good alternatives, so we might as well make the most with what we have, and not be so dang scared of playing the young 'uns.

If we give Dobb's 3 big targets to throw to most of the game, I think he could really shine. And if he shines, then we likely win out. If we win out, I honestly feel like we snag either Jackson or Garrett (if not both). The reason I say this is because an 8-4 or 9-4 season (considering the gauntlet we've gone through) clearly shows that this team is back in business and that the future is NOW...not years down the road.

If we are barely struggling to make it to a bowl game, I think it makes the sales pitch harder for 5* athletes to digest. Beating 2 top 10 opponents would clearly demonstrate that this team has turned the corner and ready to start competing for the division title next year.

none of us has any idea how croom will end up. with a new qb id like to see us spread it around a bit more. although im not denying there havent been some key drops.

some of the analysts say wrs arent running correct routes, could be why some arent getting tbe ball.

I think you need to adjust your settings to show 50 posts per page. You must be on a lower setting, like 10 posts per page, because there is plenty of discussion at the top of this page. This is a pretty small diversion for a VN recruiting thread. Unchecked, it can go on for 10 pages, LOL. :hi:
