'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

I think you need to adjust your settings to show 50 posts per page. You must be on a lower setting, like 10 posts per page, because there is plenty of discussion at the top of this page. This is a pretty small diversion for a VN recruiting thread. Unchecked, it can go on for 10 pages, LOL. :hi:

got it..actually I was on 5 posts per page..guess that is the VN default

just pointing out that the last two pages of this thread have nothing to do with Jackson..I would love to get him..just seems like such a long shot especially if he wants to also run track

Harris was hurt in fall camp and missed critical practice preparing for the season. Since then has had minor injuries that kept him out of practice most of 3 weeks. Tough on a freshman to earn playing time sitting on the side on light duty. He will play and eventually will be great. Give him time.

I have followed his situation (and Croom's) closely this season, and he was only injured some during fall camp. My concern is Azzani...he strikes me as a College Frat guy. The kind that is highly subjective about letting you into their little clique. Been waiting to hear in interviews just what is going on with him and Croom.

Mizzou is a good example, as is TAM, of a team successfully utilizing the size advantage they have at WR. We have it, too, but simply refuse to use it.

So, going back to the reference of "breaking out the Ferrari," I've been waiting all season for that, too. For me, it's not so much impatience. It's that we really don't have any other good alternatives, so we might as well make the most with what we have, and not be so dang scared of playing the young 'uns.

If we give Dobb's 3 big targets to throw to most of the game, I think he could really shine. And if he shines, then we likely win out. If we win out, I honestly feel like we snag either Jackson or Garrett (if not both). The reason I say this is because an 8-4 or 9-4 season (considering the gauntlet we've gone through) clearly shows that this team is back in business and that the future is NOW...not years down the road.

If we are barely struggling to make it to a bowl game, I think it makes the sales pitch harder for 5* athletes to digest. Beating 2 top 10 opponents would clearly demonstrate that this team has turned the corner and ready to start competing for the division title next year.

I've wondered myself about the wide receiver rotation. Watching some of the wide receivers playing over others has me scratching my head sometimes. Sometimes I've wondered about him playing so many that he's trying to justify so many on the roster.

Any Word on Jackson for the Auburn Game.. We need another shutdown corner opposite Sutton.. Coleman and Toney are struggling rite now against MO..

He has to know he will start Day One if he comes. All he has to do is watch Coleman for a few plays and know that job is his.

The past two weeks have shown our secondary getting burned bad by receivers. Kevin Norwood and Amari Cooper probably would have gotten more TDs and Ladamien Washington and DGB showed much of the same.

Shows the talent drop off between winning programs and losing programs

No offense but very few teams have WRs that are 6'4, 6'5 and 6'6.

Hell, we have 3 WR's like that...Croom (6'5"), North (6'4"), and Harris (6'4")...didn't help us any. Oh, wait....we refuse to use them. Azzani's too smart for that .

Croom should be starting opposite of North, and Harris should come in every time we run a 4 WR set (Pig Howard in the slot).

We only have one good 6'4 guy right now.....

Lol watch Croom do anything that involves getting downfield...

I think this kid is still wide open. His interest in us is legit. If we somehow get him, do we ask Payne to look elsewhere? Don't see us taking both with our numbers issue.

Serious question, are you on drugs? Payne is a great prospect and we need all the help we can get in the secondary. IF the coaching staff were to ask someone to look elsewhere, it wouldn't be Payne,

Lol, we have needs everywhere.

we def could use Payne but the staff is focusing on taller DB's for corner. Payne and Jackson would end up playing the slot early. I could see Jackson move to CB bc of his athleticism/cover skills.

Just asking as they are similar with their size and position.

Would be happy w both.

All of our big guys are freshman. Most of Mizzous are JRs and SRs. Kind of a big difference. I agree with starting Harris. I have been wondering why we don't use him more.
