'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Probably 3-4 cb's this year and 1-2 safeties. UF could lose the top 3 cb's on the team (coming into this year) to the draft.

Yea, and from what I have seen on one of your boards, some of your fans wouldn't touch Kelly, Payne, or McDowell with a ten foot pole. Not good enough players for the mighty Gators, I guess.

Not directed at you, Fun, I just thought it was silly when I saw that.

"Then, there's Adoree Jackson, who's visit to Tennessee this past weekend was one that surprised the five-star stud. Jackson's family have a few ties to Tennessee and that was part of the reason they came to see the Vols last week and certainly Tennessee did a great job of making the most of its opportunity.

In speaking with some close to Jackson, the Vols also have something else going for them and that's distance. While the Vols are just under seven hours away from his hometown of Belleville, Ill., and where his family still reside, that's one of the closer schools in his final 12.

The Florida schools are big threats, particularly Florida, but Tennessee made as good of an impression as they could have and it will be interesting to see if he ends up making it back for an official visit."

Haha, every fan base has that...but point is definitely taken. I can assure you that if any of those guys committed to UF they wouldn't be viewed that way.

As far as UF's recruitment of them. I know that we were after Kelly, but that was a losing battle from the beginning. I'm not sure whether McDowell/Payne have UF offers....but we really haven't been linked with them at all. So the lack of an offer (if there is no offer) most likely has to do with UF focusing on instate guys and then three out of staters only (Jackson, Tabor, Adams).

I think it's still an enormous uphill battle

Disagree. If we put together a winning season or show major improvement or both and we stay on him, we have a very real shot.

Not saying it won't be a hard pull. Any 5* is a hard pull. But we are very much in it. We will see if he makes it to Florida and what he has to say about it. Right now I would call it a UT-UF battle, and that's not just me being a homer.

He's at UF now, staying until sunday, and decided not to visit FSU while he is here. This is big, hopefully we can make as big of an impression as y'all did.

I see this being a UT/Florida battle. And would love to get him, however, I think Florida's track program wins out.

If he commits to Florida, I hope he decides to focus solely on Track :)

I think we have a better chance with Jackson then a lot of people think. The simple fact that we have an out of state athlete of his caliber looking at our program AND one that brought his dad with him means something. Dooley couldn't sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. Butch can sell IMO.
