'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Guys, maybe my geography is not as strong as it should be, or I am missing something else, but does anyone here consider CA close to TN? He keeps saying it is close to home.

Not sure if you're serious. I think this has been asked many times. He's originally from IL.

He's originally from Southern Illinois IIRC. I think it's like a 5 hour drive from Knoxville to his original hometown.

I wouldn't expect 10 wins, but if Dooley could win 6 games with our 2010 roster, I'd be very disappointed if we don't win 7. Also wouldn't mind seeing Butch out coach someone and win a game or two that we aren't supposed to win.

Prepare to be disappointed. With our roster and our schedule he will qualify for Sainthood if he wins 7.

Beating AP, WKU, South Alabama, Mizzou, Auburn, Vandy and Kentucky qualfies or Sainthood? All but Mizzou and UK are in Neyland Stadium. UT has more talent than every single one of those teams, a lot more than most of them. Winning 7 should be expected to be honest. I know it's Butch's first year and there will be bumps but less than 7 wins means we lost a game we shouldn't have and didn't beat anyone better than us.

I think we win all those plus one the "experts" don't expect us to win.

What say you, Ron?

That's my point. Win the ones we're supposed, pull out close ones, and sneak away with an upset or two. The last five years have really lowered our expectations. Candy and Kentucky should always be wins, and Mizzou should pretty much be also.

I hope I never have to relive another loss to either school. I have never been so mad in my life. 8-4 is a solid way to start at UT for Jones.

I think so too. Probably UGA or USC. I'd prefer a win over Oregon, even though it's out of conference, that win would give this team the confidence they need to beat anyone else on the schedule and would fill our last few spots in the 2014 class with guys like Adoree Jackson.

the key to the season will be the final 4 games down the stretch. we have as much, if not more, SEC talent than any of the 4 we teams we will face:

Missouri - bad team
Auburn - in Neyland

open date

Vanderbilt - in Neyland
Kentucky - bad team

there's no reason that with better coaching & condtioning we can't go 4-0 in those games.

pair that with 3 ooc wins and we get to 7 wins + a bowl game.

Following the 31-23 upset win at OR a lot of 2014 recruits will be looking at their TV's thinking, "why did I wait to commit to the damn VOLS"?

Sorry guys, class is full.

I love UT as much as the next man but I cant get on board with UT beating Oregon. To many factors against us for me to believe we can win. Don't get me wrong I would love to see UT win but I just don't see it happening. I see the same result. Oregon pulling away in the second half with speed.

Not sold on the bolded. Yes, Missouri got punched in the mouth their first SEC season, but they do have some nice pieces on that team like Kony Ealy and it would not shock me to see them rebound this year. Now I will say that I am less worried about that game since it is at the end of the year than I would have been if it was early.

I gotta agree w/ Ronald Swagson on those 7 wins. Barring injuries we are going to have some TERRIFIC trenches on both sides of the ball. Especially the offensive side of the equation. The key to it all is if Neal and Lane want to step up.

So your saying if x number of kids called you up and they all said. Coach we want to commit to you without missing a beat you would send them away? :ermm:

i guess "bad team" is relative. im sure they'd have a very good team in the big east.

where would you rank their talent in the SEC?
