'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

This kid is a freak athlete love to have him, but he seems like he's open as far as recruitment. I'm excited to get him on campus.

I hope this guy stays on the west coast if we aren't his destination school, which I don't think we are close right now. He will be an all American

What is all this ask.fm stuff?

It's a website where you can ask anyone a question. It goes to their inbox and they have an option of answering it. You can even ask anonymously so they don't know who you are. When and if they answer it a notification will pop up and tell you so and so answered your question. You go look at their wall.....and there is it is along with others he answered.:hi:

On whether Adoree will make it in this Weekend.

"Assuming he does, which I'm hearing isn't like right now, I think Tennessee could help themselves, obviously. But, how much isn't know until he makes it on campus. Will he meet with track people, etc? That will play a factor."

-Fortenberry

Adoree would be part of capping the #1 recruiting class (along with Hendrix, Mosley, Barnett, Gaulden and a couple of more big uglies) in the nation nicely.

I just don't believe in program changers when it comes to players. I believe in perception changers, but as we at UT know well, coaches are the only ones that really change
programs. No one player has raised UT or sunk UT. It is a collective work. A player may garner attention for a program like Case Keenum for Houston or Bobby Rainey for WKU but normally that success is short lived and the program is back to where the money donated allows it to be at. Tebow didn't change Floridas program. He became
A highlight in Floridas history but didn't change their program. I just don't like the term program changer for players. Only should apply to coaches, and even then, programs are limited by how much
Money is put into them.

A great example of this is Condredge Holloway. He as an electric player on the field with good, but not great talent. Some of the greatest college football teams had to be Nebraska in the 70's and 80's. Not very many big names on those teams.

I don't care who you are talking about, there is not a single player that is a program changer...game changer, yes, but not a program changer. However, an entire recruiting class can be a program changer, which IMO the 2014 class will be ours. Adoree can come be a game changer in a program changing class.

Peyton Manning took UT football to elite status in the national spotlight. Also the reason I'm a UT fan who was raised to be a Bama fan. The way Manning ran the offense back then made me love UT.

“I think I’ll be down there (at Tennessee) on Sunday,” said Jackson, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 9 overall prospect in the 247Composite, which equally weighs prospect rankings and ratings from major recruiting media outlets.

“I don’t know for sure (when), but I know over the weekend I’ll be down there, for sure.”

“This is going to be my first time actually getting back into my recruitment, so I’m going to need to start getting my list down, narrowing it down and separating who’s in the top, who’s getting hot, who’s getting cold — stuff like that — so I’ve just got to try to go on some visits and talk to the coaches,” Jackson said.

“For me, I’ve got 12 (teams standing out), but I plan on getting it to six, probably. It will be probably once the season starts, probably in September, before I can get my official visits set out, and I’ll probably be getting everything together by then.”

Why he likes TN

“For me, it’s close to home and close to my family, so they can get down there in a quick second to come watch me play or come visit me and stuff like that instead of them having to go somewhere pretty far,” said Jackson, who claims more than 25 offers to date.

“And it’s a great program in the SEC.”

On Butch and Willie recruiting him.

“They’re basically just talking to me about being a dominant player, just going in offensively, defensively and on special teams and all that — (and running) track as well — so that’s why I have to actually get down there and discuss it and see what’s real and what’s not,” Jackson said.

On what Track means to him.

“I don’t really know too much about (Tennessee’s track program),” Jackson said, “so when I go down there, I want to get a lot of information about it.”

On position.

“a lot of schools now are talking more about offense,” considering the possibility of getting the ball in his hands as a wide receiver and return specialist.

“I don’t know right now whether I want to play offense — whether I want to put on a show and try to get the band playing — or play defense, lock it up and have my own island,” said Jackson, who’s currently not planning to announce his college choice until signing day.

“There’s not that many good (defensive backs) out there. It just depends on what’s best for me at that particular school. Whatever they most need me to do, that’s what I’m going to do.”

We need to have highlights of CP running everywhere, Willie Gault, Justin Gatlin, Justin Hunter.

This is a HUGE visit. We just need to get him interested enough to give us one of the five officials and let Butch work his magic.

I'll post comments late, but I'm on mobile.

He said he will be here for sure this weekend. Not sure when, but he thinks on Sunday.

Good news.
