'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Didn't you say Bonner should be playing?

Yeah I believed the Skeeter hype at first. Then I watched he and Gray versus Ga.State. Gray looked better early on. I wanted to go young after the secondary looked terrible period and think Sal(dumbass) was against it. But the Skeeter jinx is true. I think if he hadn't said a thing about Bonner then he would've played.

He didn't say anything else other than what I just posted, that Green might still choose to be an EE. And Hubbs confirmed that CBJ was in Greens home.

I like what I am seeing in this thread. When would a decision have to be made if he was going to early EE?

Iirc from last year we tried to make a push on the kid that was EE at FSU up until the last day before semester started.

Yes, we came within hours of landing Mario Pender. His admittance into FSU came down to the last hour and if FSU didn't get him in he was going to be a Vol.

This is just pure speculation but I would think that if DG is still considering enrolling early that might not bode well for UT with the coaching change and the stability at Michigan..

Jay Graham plays an important role here and I think Green is one if not the one prospect we desperately need to hit on..

What do you all think about the notion of him still enrolling early?? Better for UT or Michigan??

U could pretty much take whatever he says these days and believe the opposite, and u would be right on the money..

I Played against Pender in High school. Not fun haha. He almost brought Jordan diggs with him to but he went to SC

That's how I treat all inside sources on this site. ;-)

I do appreciate skeet, though. He's probably the most accurate of the bunch.

Jump back a few years... replace Green with Bryce Brown and Neal with Hardesty, and you there were dozens of posts just like that.

People underestimate a senior RB in favor of the new kid on the block. Green would get his carries, but Neal is not going to go from being a very serviceable starter, to just getting some 3rd down carries.

By the end of the season Lane was starting over Neal. After Neal got hurt Lane got the starting role and really played the best he has since getting to UT. I think he is finally trusting his knee and will be that RB we all expected. Would be great to get Green and either Kemp, Kamara and slowly work them in some carries. Think Q. would do well in Jones offense as well.

Not hating but Skeeter hasn't been good at evaluating talent period. He jinxes every top recruit. First Lane was the best freshman RB since Jamal Lewis(not even close). Then he called Bonner as the best CB on the team(but then he never gets a shot at a problem position). I love all the AD stuff but I'll trust my own eyes when it comes to the players. Lane doesn't look like he'll ever be a top RB again.

Seriously? Lane looked by far like our best RB at the end of the season and looked better as the season went on and started trustinv his knee. Lane will be a grwat one once he fully trusts his knee. And Skeeter never said he would be killing it as a FR. Said once he trusts his knee he will be a great RB for UT. Bonner will be a beast as well, I hope nobody actually trusted that staff we just had to be competent enough to get the best players on the field, especially on D.

He isnt enrolling early anymore

The poster on VQ that said CBJ was requested by Green to be at his home last night just posted Green hasn't ruled out being an EE. Which would be a good sign for UT if he liked what CBJ was selling. IMO

Has that poster said anything else as of 12-15-12

Green requested CBJ to be there with graham. Butch rescheduled his visit to Harris due to this . I think it's a good sign when a recruit asks you to be there.
