'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

So is this the Derrick we have the best chance of landing? Sorry I'm late to the party but between him and Henry which is the "better" (subjective I know) prospect?

Green is more of a pure RB, is ranked higher on the recruiting sites FWIW. Henry is the guy we have a better chance of getting. JMO.

Just watched both guy's highlights. Both guys appear to be very strong runners and I would take either guy in a heartbeat. IMO Green is more of a one-cut, downhill runner- definitely a guy would could pound the ball inside to keep the front 7 honest. Would really open up the passing game. Henry is a guy who seems like more of an H back- kind of like Trey Burton from Florida but a lot stronger. You could use him in a number of ways. Definitely on short yardage run plays and probably even in the slot from some quick throws...

My son who is VT grad, says all the boys in the VA circles feel that Green is a little over rated. Just passing on what the people in VA are saying. I guess they would probably be in the know

If I had to choose, i'd probably take Green but either would be fantastic. We probably end up with neither, imo.

Thanks for your input but I'll roll with the experts on this one.

D.Green is a less risk more reward type recruit. He has the size, speed, running style to make him an every down back. Henry is a high risk type guy. He's done great in HS, but the college game is a whole different level. I would rather have Green for the VOLs.

Yeah, huge fail on Mike D's part. Go with the guys who do it for a living over some message board yahoo. Mike D just who do you think you are anyway?

 ..so you're questioning ME questioning SOMEONE else about the same thing? You basically gave the same argument that I did when the other poster said "MU or AU." Do your research before you call me out on something lol. Your second paragraph does not describe me in any form or fashion.

Listing reasons why YOU think he should pick Tennessee is a great way to follow recruiting because these kids always pick the most rational option. Good luck with that. :good!:
