Glad we have the largest recruiting budget in the nation only to keep offering a bunch of duds from local high schools. I'm thinking the next step should be to raid the intramural fields and find us some solid walk-ons.

Call me crazy but this roster looks weak by SEC standards. We're going to be in for a long season I am afraid.

Most teams have lots of holes right now... even those expected to do well. USCe is filling some major holes. UGA replaces almost their whole D. UF lost some guys.
Very few programs just reload like Bama and LSU do right now.
This season comes down to coaching for UT. We will see right away how good these guys are.

When Maggitt is back healthy, Brewer will be the one to sit not Sapp. Starting 3 LB's (if healthy) will be Sapp, AJJ, Maggitt.
I told you all during Spring Practice that it was unlikely that Maggitt would be back based on what he told me. Most of you all shrugged it off, and like most of you I want him on the field, but he told me if he isn't 100% healthy he would not get on the field and possibly put himself at further risk. I think he plays this year, but we really don't need him for the first couple of games anyways.
This is how I see it . Sapp has really came on strong. I watched the O/W game again the other night. The 3 things that kept jumping out at me were:
1) Sapp was all over the place
2) Vereen and LaTroy. Defenses are really gonna struggle with these dudes in the future.
3) it just felt good to see us take the field in the 40 defense. Really good.
