'13 TN RB Cornelius Elder

If he can run the point sign him up!! Whats the hold up Conzo.....

Any multi-sport scholarship athlete who plays football must be counted as a football scholarship. Therefore, if Elder wants to play both sports, an offer would've been Jones's decision to make first, not Martin's.

i guess him and duke gonna do work..not bad

He's an ideal fit in the ACC and with Larranaga. I think he can contribute this year in football, which will open things up schematically for Duke...really excited for this young man. He needed to get away from his situation and found a perfect landing spot. :hi:

He never had any interest in tennessee and neither staff had much interest in him at all.

Don't make it into a bigger deal than it is.

Agreed. Saying we "lost him" to UM is not a fair assessment of the way it went down. He didn't want to stay in state, and he made that clear. We virtually didn't recruit him, and that's that.

Hope he does well in Miami. I will watch a few of their games this year just to see him play if he starts. If you ask me he is starter quality on any D1 team in the country.

I never could figure out how good he will be in college. I saw him play in several games (two against Brentwood Academy) and he was super elusive in tight spaces but seemed to lack that top gear. He did well against BA but never broke a long TD because they always had someone who could chase him down from behind and not just Jalen Ramsey there were others. He's very shifty though that's for sure. I hope he does well at Miami since that has been his dream school for a long time.

He never wanted to come to Tennessee. He never wanted to go to Vandy. He said it before that he wanted to move away from Tennessee. This is why he was looking at UCLA, Miami, and North Carolina. Miami is a great choice for Corn

Miami even when they are down is a good school for football not to mention their basketball program is on the rise. Tht on top of a cool town to live in... Congrats to corn

thanks for the input guys...sounds like a good pickup. didnt expect him to be the best player in the state..two times mr football

Not bad in hoops either - one of 3 nominees for Mr. Basketball this year and already 2 times MVP of state tournament (with one more tourney coming up real soon).

Wait just a darn minute!

You mean the sky isn't falling??

No. In the SEC every DB on the top 5 or 6 teams is bigger and faster than this kid. Good luck to him but he would never have an impact against a Bama or Florida defense.
We don't need another tiny, quick guy.
I know he isn't a DB, just saying he won't bust the edge in the SEC.
