'13 TN RB Cornelius Elder

Curious where you seen or heard that? I haven't heard anything related to this kid and UT basketball.

That interest list means jack. Cuonzo is on way better prospects than Corn. And that's no disrespect to him, because he was cold-blooded in the state championship game earlier this year. Football is still his better sport, though.

Update on 247 -

Says Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss are the teams recruiting him to play both ways (FB and BB), and along with those three and Nebraska are recruiting him the hardest. He has no favorites and is not close to a decision. He does not know what he wants to do (in terms of playing football, basketball, or both in college). UT is not mentioned at all in the article.

We aren't recruiting him so that is to be expected

Can it be said that he and Gray are similar players and that we only need one like that in this class?

"Six to watch" article on rivals...

5. ATH Cornelius Elder Nashville (Tenn.), Ensworth, 5/11, 170: Elder is a phenomenal athlete who does it all. Last season, he rushed for 2,100 yards while compiling nearly 3,000 total all-purpose yards. As a defensive back, he also had five interceptions. In addition to his football skills, Elder is also a talented basketball player who opted to play hoops during the summer rather than work the football camp circuit. The four-star athlete is currently uncommitted, but drawing interest from Nebraska, Ohio State and Tennessee. Ensworth's most interesting early season game comes in week two against Lexington (Ky.) Catholic.

Kid is just electric w/ the ball in his hands, & now he just crushes a WR going up for the ball.

Like this kid a lot. Wish we had went after him as a slot WR for us. Could have a Tavon Austin type of career.

This boy would be hell in the slot position. Him and pig would be a problem in space for anyone, along with Q. Watson and Devrin. People can miss me with the "he doesn't fit our system" talk.

Interest level may be a different story, but this is the type of player that you design plays for to get him involved.

I worked for css tonight to put the game on tv. He looked extremely thin for a running back. Are most schools going after him for that or db?

I think they are going after him as an athlete, and evaluating him in the weight room and in camp to see where he would most excel at the college level. He is also a fantastic basketball player and may choose to go that route at a small school.
