'13 TN QB Charlie High

I think you are talking about Dobbs my friend.
High is from CAK

Nevermind I see it was mentioned about Dobbs, jumped the gun being Charlie highs thread

Rumors floating around that Charlie accepted a preferred walk-on spot at Tennessee.

That would be awesome. Kid has a ton of ability, just not prototype size for and SEC QB. Let him walk-on and see where he is in a year or two. Love hearing CBJ is bringing him on. Congrats to Charlie if/when this happens.

Still looking at (2) QBs? News on Dobbs allowed for a High to accept? With High in the class, all a sudden taking (1) scholarship QB is not that big of a deal. Of course, if they can get (2), they still may. Lots of stuff starting to fall into place. It's like it's almost NSD. :p

Don't think taking High as walk-on would have anything to do with the staff not taking Dobbs or any other in this class.

It's a good move because if Peterman beats out Worley, then I would expect Worley to bolt. That would leave us paper thin at QB.

My take is Butch recruits him as a preferred walk on, redshirt freshman year of course learn the offense better than anyone in the roster..get his scholly by sophomore year and then be ready for opportunities at his dream school...I'm betting Butch loves the kid and that came out when the High's visited...potential feel good story

I understand the concern with size and lack of offers. I think his mobility could help him. He's not Michael Vick, but he's very athletic. Point is, often shorter QBs who have been successful in most cases are good outside the pocket. I could see them moving the pocket to help this kid make some (not all) throws from the edge. Look at Russel Wilson. Even Drew Breeze who doesn't run moves to the edge of the pocket at times. I've seen this kid play, he's a really good ball player.

I love this move..if he were a few inches taller he'd probably have offered from all over the country.

If he really is 6'2". he towers over a 5'10" Doug Flutie, and is 2 inches taller than Drew Brees.

Would love to see him come in here and develop into a SEC/NFL quality QB. You never know.

OK, "towers" may be a bit of a stretch (no pun intended).

I have never seen Charlie High play, just seen highlights. But him not getting any offers from D! schools is so bizarre. Quite possibly the strangest recruiting story in a while. IMO.

I wasn't impressed with High's highlights, but only saw a few. His stats are waaaaaayyyyyyy up there.

Can he scramble? What's his 40?
