'13 TN OL Brett Kendrick (UT Commit)

It seems all of his hires are guys that recruit Florida. They should target the Midwest IMO...not going to win a lot of battles in FL

Local Arky media is raving about the Florida connections, but everyone is worried that none of his staff has TX connections, which is where Arky historically gets its best players. BB's staff would be elite in the south, but I don't think any amount of great Florida recruiters will convince too many elite players to go from Florida all the way to northwest Arky.

If Bielema does not surround himself with good recruiters that ship will sink. He has been a very poor recruiter in his career.

Strictly from a recruiting standpoint, I'd say his staff is equal or better than UT. Too many Florida guys though IMO, so I don't think they'll have very good results.

CBJ visited BK yesterday...

"Coach Jones is an awesome guy," Kendrick said. "He's very down to earth. There is just something about him that tells me that he is going to be a very successful coach. Watch out for the Vols in the coming years."

"He was talking about some of the new things he was doing with the players and the recruits," Kendrick said. "He's just got a special feel to him. Some of the new traditions in the team meetings and some small stuff that will give us the best chance to win. I think he is going to put 7's around the indoor complex with the goal in mind of getting our 7th national championship."

When Dooley was hired I remember hearing about "attention to detail" a lot. Since CBJ has been at the helm, it's as if those details are finally happening. 7's around the facility is a great "detail" idea that the last regime would have never done. I think Butch gets it, I just hope it produces W's. I think it will.

I don't see them visiting another school. It would not shock me at all if they give Chaney/Pittman the respect of allowing them to visit them. Allowing a coach to come to you and visit is not that big of a deal IMO. What's the kid going to do, turn off the lights and not answer the door? They could have said no thanks, we see no point in wasting our time or yours coach. i think it's more of a curtousey than anything.

Visiting Bama 2/1

Dooley's expectations were always low, and he got bad results.. Hopefully with CBJ and his high expectations, we will finally see some good things happen.

Visiting Bama 2/1

As I said earlier in the thread. IF the kid takes the visit, he needs to be ready to look around. I would expect CBJ to take the local kids who have been long time commits. IF a kid decides to "look around/visit", he is opening up his chance of being left out. I know if he takes the visit and CBJ lets another recruit take his place, it will be his own fault. Even worse when Bama has no room for him and then the kid is left in the cold. We'll see if he actually takes the visit.

Yeah. It's weird taking a visit that late without even having an offer unless there is some last minute poaching to be done.

Does not look out of place at all. And Sanders looks even taller. I think this is the first picture of Tiny where he looks like a normal human being.

He's as big as Tiny. Pudgier though.

I’m worried he’s headed strait to redshirt. I would like to see as many linemen play this year as possible.

But, lemme tell you, how awesome is it that he doesn’t have to start as a freshman? Huh? Can I get an amen? Glory!

Why do you wanna see as many linemen as possible play this year? I understand that playing experience is good but a redshirt gives them just as much time to get accustomed to the system, coached up, and stronger so that they're better prepared when they get called out there to play.

It’s not my default posture, but this year is a little different. Usually I’m all on the redshirt linemen bandwagon, it’s just that they will be losing so much experience this year.

Yeah I see where you're coming from there. I know this won't happen but I would love for Tiny to stay for his senior year, his leadership is huge and the longer he's here the better for us.
