8:45 a.m.: Vols gets highly recruited three-star
Major attention on National Signing Day is generally reserved for top-tier players, but Tennessee coaches are very happy to land three-star defensive end [db]Jaylen Miller[/db] from Gaffney (S.C.) High.
Miller was a hotly recruited player in the region with near 20 offers and many major colleges looking to secure his services.
The last time on the field, Miller made analysts notice his play at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
Rivals.com regional analyst Woody Wommack wrote of the player, "The thing that stood out most about Miller on Monday was his explosiveness off the line. He was halfway in the backfield before opposing offensive linemen got their hands on him. Miller has deceptive strength, is physical and showed a good rip move to beat the opposition."
