'13 KY DE Jason Hatcher (USCw Commit)

he said UF could be a sleeper team and wants to take an official there but they aren't in his top 4 because he hasn't been there

“Tennessee, I like them all around the most,” Hatcher said. “The question is what’s going to happen with the coaching staff and how long they’re going to be there. Coach (Derek) Dooley is on the hot seat this year.”
This train of thought has been fueled by our own fans. Our own fans have fanned the fires by supporting the local yahoos who talk about this stuff on their inane talk radio shows.

Are you saying he's not on the hot seat?

it doesn't make sense what you saying? Hatcher didn't say that? Dooley isn't on the Hot seat?

As long as we have ignorant fools who regurgitate this crap, how do you expect a recruit to have confidence in this staff?

Those who want to regurgitate this stuff are those who conveniently forgot how the program got into this mess, just how bad it was, just how low the talent level got. They also do not know that that it takes time to rebuild a program.

We will never win just because we are Tennessee and because we want Tennessee to win. That is the ignorant arrogance displayed by so many people who proclaim themselves UT football fans. They don't know their butts from a hole in the ground when it comes to football. However, they know how to kill a program.

I'd have to disagree with you on that one.

First of all, we are going to surprise a lot of people by having a very good season.

Secondly, it things just like you posted that Ramsey, Hatcher, Bell and other top recruits read that leads them to shy away from Tennessee.

I, too, think we're going to have a good season. But, at this point, Dooley IS on the hot seat. There's no way to sugarcoat it or ignore it. The only thing left to do is win.

IMO, winning 8 games and still being retained at a program like Tennessee isn't that much of a hot seat. If Fulmer had two losing seasons and then a 8 win season, he may have been fired. His seat definitely wouldn't have been safe after those three seasons

Dooley is not on the hot seat. If we go 6-6, he may be, but the same can be said for Miles, Muschamp, Chizik, Smith, and Richt. Coaches unlikely to be in trouble at 6-6 are Saban, Franklin, Spurrier, Freeze, Mullen, Sumlin, Pinkle, and Phillips.

If we go 6-6 he'll be fired. That might not be the opinion of the "higher ups" but the common fans like most of us, will make the decision. Ticket sales and donations will go down.

Was Dooley not told 8 wins or else?

Not only would Fulmer not have been fired over an 8 win season, his contract would have rolled over. Mike Hamilton was a genius negotiator. Thankfully Hart seems to have higher standards.

So would you say Richt, Miles, Muschamp, and Chizik are on the hot seat? I bet those schools would strongly consider firing their coaches if they go 6-6.

i dont think chizik would, richt might and as far as muschamp, i hope they keep him for a long time. least intimidating gator coach in a long time.

You stated you're 18. You make a lot of donations to the athletic department?
