A lot of people look really stupid at the beginning of this thread. A now 5-star "must have" player for the top programs in the nation getting bad-mouthed or critiqued by message board "scouts". If one of those "unknown" usernames or other names used to ridicule the posters that could have been Vonn or his family got treated like that by fans, some of us deserve to have him go to Bama.

Hope he picks the Vols, and hope some of you negative nancies learn a lesson here.

This isn't popular on here but unfortunately I believe it's true. To land players like VB, we need to win some games. If we already had Lawson, Green, and North we may stand a chance. Butch got here a year too late.

The defeatism around here is mind-boggling. A life-long UT fan goes on record to say how much he enjoyed the UT in-home visit, how much his family did, how much he's looking forward to the OV, and that his top-three are on even ground, and everyone interprets that as "Bama lock".

I can understand this from the Bama fans.

Not so fast... Bell IS NOT committed to Bama. Let me just say this I have done some digging and have heard some things from people closer to this situation. Bama is not a lock, anyone remember the kid from RHS a few years back ? Apparently he transferred for a few reasons I won't say here. Just a thought for some of you,that would rather give in too the the Tide and the mythical 25 NC's

Alabama's national championship is now a thing of the past to next year's class. If Bell wants UT to be successful then he will choose UT. It has nothing to do with where we have been. Everything else is irrational. He needs to bring the future and change to the Hill.

Whoa buddy I'm not an insider and haven't claimed to be. I just live in the same county and happen to know a few of his coaches and met his mother a few weeks ago. Take what info that is mentioned for what it's worth. This is what I have been told by people a whole hell of a lot closer then the likes of you. Personally I could careless of your opinion and your smug remarks

From all I've heard here in the Chattanooga area, Vonn is a great guy and has a great family. His attitude and personality would be a great fit with CBJ and the staff, and the talent and skills he would bring would be a huge step in our rise to the top.

Vonn would have the opportunity to earn EB status if he came to UT and helped start the resurgence. Hoping it happens.

Looks to me like there are a bunch of people genuinely interested in what is going on with the Vols and the recruits, and then there are a bunch of a-holes on here that make a negative comment about other people's posts. I am inclined to take Big Al at his word. Doesn't mean he has an in with Vonn, just sharing what he has heard. If nobody posts till they have rock solid, infallible concrete info, 98% of the posts on here would be eliminated. Maybe 99.

If we impress this weekend ,with what I have heard VB will be a Vol come NSD. That's my opinion based what I have heard from others close to the situation. He likes UT, has been a fan along time.

Dude, CBJ will put it all out on the line come this weekend. The Vols have some serious momentum with elite talent.
