There's nothing we can offer these guys that several other sec schools can't match other than maybe facilities. It's going to come down to " Do I want to join a safe bet on a NC team and possibly watch it from the bench, or do I want to be a key part of rebuilding a Giant from the ground up and being The Class to put them back in the spotlight." They can't go wrong either way they go if they're good cause we've always been able to put people in the league.

I guess I did leave out the part that we can offer 50k more in the stands than most other sec schools.

Just caught up with Vonn. He said his family liked coach Jones and he's lookig forward to the weekend visit.

He said during the in-home visit his mom spent most of the time with coach Jones and this weekend will be more about him getting a feel for the program. We'll have the full story later tonight.

Not trying to be argumentative; I just think it's a bit selective to take him at face value when he said we had ground to make up, and then not take him at face value when he said we are even.

He said we are even. His quotes seem VERY impressed with the staff. He seems VERY excited about the upcoming visit. Seems logical to take him at face value when he says it's all even between his top three.

That's cool. We'll see soon enough if your opinion has any merit. The facts are that he stated:

  1. His top three are all even
  2. He is very excited about his upcoming OV to UT
  3. He is blown away by the most recent in-home, when UT's entire defensive staff showed up
  4. He grew up a UT fan

You may be right. (If I were a Bama fan, I may try the "smokescreen" rationale too.) :hi:

I dont think they are even, a team that doesn make a bowl and loses 85% of their production compared to two of the top 3 teams in the nation one offering a starting job the other promising The beat NFL possibiliiea

NFL talent finds its way to the NFL. Plus Willie martinez is no slouch.

And anyone offering him a starting job outright without him even practicing yet is a liar.

Hope Vonn is a vol

Vol twenty twin twin may know Vonn somehow, but he ain't making any decisions. Let's see what CBJ has in store.

Has anyone seen Willie Martinez's bio? Dude has put a ton of defensive backs into the NFL. Also, Tennessee Terry Fair someone who I'm sure this kid grew up watching on staff who could mentor him. I guess we'll see soon. If he decides to come to Tennessee, you can pencil him into the starting lineup on February 7th. Not sure you can say that about the other schools. Does he want to play, help return Tennessee to the top of the SEC, and be revered across Tennessee for the rest of his life, or does he want to go to a school and be just another player.

Our D staff can coach. But besides that, look at CP. very good chance he goes top 10 in the draft. Being on a 5-7 team didn't hurt his NFL prospects.

Talent will rise to the top. So why not join your fave fanhood team and help us rise to the top

You trying to say he is the next Peyton Manning but on the defensive side? Ppl became Colts fans when Peyton went there and now they have become Bronco fans because thats where he is now. Me personally Im a Cowboys fan(dont flame me) but also a Peyton Manning fan,he is the face of the Tennessee Vols.

If Vonn Bell works hard, stays humble and keeps his head on straight he is going to the NFL if he goes to bama, UT or tosu. That shouldn't even be a consideration because even though we have been down, we are still UT.

Terry was playing at UT about the time this kid was born so I doubt he watched him lol. Sorry to make you feel old.
