'13 GA RB Peyton Barber

Lawson. Only reason I can come up with.

That and his mom went to UT and he came for an OV. Pretty decent reasons to have at least a little optimism, IMO.

I think we land Ford and maybe Green. Just one of those two would be huge.

I'm still hoping out for Green. Guess we'll know soon!

"We want Barber, he is the best"!

-Barber is sticking with Ole Miss-

"We want Ford, he is the best"!

-Ford going to Auburn-

"We want Green, he is the best"!

-Green headed to UM-

"We want (wait, who's next on the list?)".

Why would Barber not consider the Vols more?

I think he was rubbed the wrong way because he perceived is late offer as Graham not offering him until Butch came in. They had to fight to get him on campus.

I just find it crazy that here at Tennessee we struggle to get ANY RBs attention now a days. Here Ole Miss has (4) committed for this class and could very well take (5). :ermm:
Indicates to me that some of these kids just can't count or are going to be safeties. A good running back should be breaking down the door to sign with UT. A golden opportunity to play immediately if you have the talent. New coaching staff without any pre-conveived notions of any of the guys on the team.

You would like to think that people close to some of these RBs would try and sit them down and explain simple math to them.

He should not let his ego get the best of him and count 1 2 3 4 5. Number of Ole Miss RB commits and then say to himself ZERO, number of UT RB commits. Dooley is gone. Get over it young man. Opportunity of a lifetime is staring you straight in the face.

Maybe I am misinformed, but Graham would have to get the HC's okay to make any offer. Barber not getting the offer was under the Doolander regime. That was then. We are now playing ButchBall and Butch wants Barber.

I am sure Barber, and any other recruit for that matter, understands that the dynamics at UT have changed. Sounds like Fort simply offered his opinion since he did not have anything else to write about on this matter. Guess that is what Fort gets paid to do, though.

Lots of innuendo on here that Barber will stick with OM. That may be true, but Gruden to UT was also a "done deal". Think we may have to wait until 2/6 to really know how this will play out.

Some kids are sensitive and don't get the bigger picture as to how the hiearchy of a coaching staff works. So instead Barber will stay at a school with the potential of 4 RBs and limited PT in his future.

You mean his name is Peyton, and his mom is a UT alumni, and he isn't a Vol. Something is wrong in the world.

Not gonna happen with Peyton Barber. His coach said he's 100% solid to Ole Miss after a visit from Hugh Freeze.

You guys crack me up quoteing Sab's tweets when he is just spitting up what he has just read on here. I love the guy but breaking news is not his forte.
