'13 GA DT Robert Nkemdiche

I know most think Clemson cheats (and maybe they do) but the truth is they have some elite recruiters on staff, a very nice campus and scenery and just went to a BCS game. If they were in the SEC (instead of USCjr) they would have a top 10 class every year. Some kids like the laid back country atmosphere that they have. I've been to a few Clemson games (I have family that went there), it's a good time. I can definitely see the appeal if you're not set on playing in the SEC.

I agree, Dabo sells a lot similar to Dooley. He sells a good family atmosphere where he will teach the kids to be men. He sells the parents on the appeal of a small town like Clemson over a big city like Columbia, Knoxville, Atlanta ect.

They have a great gameday atmosphere and are getting some good facilities. Probably also can sell the top talent to come to a conference that you can dominate.

I see the appeal.

Plus the location is good. It is an easy drive up I85 from the Atlanta metro area, whereas Knoxville is over the mountains or through Nooga. Dye is from Elberton, GA which is a stone's throw to Clemson.

Clemson has been a perennial underachiever for over 30 years... No reason for them to have not been more successful than they have been. They are on the I-85 corridor between Charlotte and ATL with some of the most elite talent in the country within 3 hours drive.

Got my offer from Clemson today. Committed on the spot.

I don't get it. How does Clemson keep recruiting at such a high level? I mean, what do they really have to offer?!? No real winning tradition. Facilities aren't that great. They play in the friggin ACC. What exactly is it?? (And please no $$$ answers. I'm looking for a real answer here).

Unfortunately that's the only answer that makes sense.

Dabo's a snake oil salesman and he has a great recruiting staff around him. And the $$$ helps.

They did well last year. Their class so far this year is relatively average with the exception of the # 1 recruit in HS football.

So what you're saying is you want someone to make a reason up and lie to you? You already discounted the truth. Clemson and Auburn have always had the worst reputations for the methods that they use to recruit players. Everybody cheats, but they go all out.

No but simply saying "they pay their players" seems like the universal butt-hurt fanboy answer to this question. It can't be all about the Benjamins.

I say, (and this is JMO) he bails after his boys sign the letter of intent and goes where he wants to.

QB Nick Schuessler, who signed with #MissState in February, says he's headed to join Robert Nkemdiche & Grayson High teammates at #Clemson

This is the friend he lived with last year. Dabo better hope recruiting every player at Grayson and the coach pays off for Clemson or they might finally run him out of there.

I mean he's the number 1 player in the country but is he worth 3 more scholarships to lesser players?
