'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

Just have a feeling Auburn is working their way back in here. This guy could have been the catalyst to bring this class together and nothing seems to be happening.

the battle for no. 1 prospect robert nkemdiche (loganville, ga./grayson) has been well documented, but less than 50 miles away, programs have also been fighting it out for the no. 2 prospect in the country, defensive end carl lawson (alpharetta, ga./milton). Lawson has been committed to auburn since last march, but the tigers are going to have to fend off several programs if they want to hold onto their five-star pass rusher. Carl lawson sr., carl's father, did not accompany lawson on his first official visit to clemson, but he says his son was very fond of brian dawkins' speech during an award ceremony on campus that weekend.

He was able to join carl on his second official visit to tennessee this past weekend.

"the tennessee visit was great and the entire family enjoyed it," lawson sr. Said. "tennessee has a lot of history. A lot of people do not know that peyton manning is carl's all-time favorite player. He prides himself on being peyton manning's biggest fan, so being at tennessee was a big thrill for him."

sounds to me like we are in the drivers seat.

"it has been difficult trying to make a final decision, but recently it has gotten a lot easier," lawson sr. Said

He's going to give Auburn every chance.

I say Butch should tell Jenkins to go to Auburn the same weekend, and remind Carl of all of our strengths and Auburn's weaknesses.

I assume the reason he was there was for the act that someone said he was taking, but he was on his way out and i was being tutored so I didn't get the chance to talk to him. It was funny cause the tutor was like how do you know Carl? And I said I don't but he visited Tennessee this weekend. To which he replied hes a great player you know he's committed to auburn right. All I said was, for now. We'll see.

I think with Bellamy and Carr, Lawson will like his potential around him. Playing next to McCullers is no small feat either. Literally.

Pretty negative post IMO. Were we even on this guys radar before CBJ got here? We have made up an unbelievable amount of ground. We've really got a shot here.

Within 48 hours?

Ugh.

Hope that's enough time for the Auburn visit to wear off. He's going to enjoy himself. I get the feeling that their staff, despite Garner being a total liar, is going to win him over and he will stay loyal to the Barn.

Great for them, terrible for us.

Man, we have a negative fanbase when anything comes down to the wire. I guess that's what the last years will do to you
