It seems like when they go to AU, they might be looking for something specific. If it's not there, he'll know right away he wants to be a vol. This thread will blow up in the next couple weeks

Think of it this way. Lawson thoroughly enjoyed his time on the Hill. His family seems to be in the Orange corner. The key in this, with the AU visit, is Garner and has been since he was hired. Lawson, supposedly didn't like Garner since he didn't offer him at UGA. So that tells you the key for the Barn is for them to get Lawson comfortable with Garner, that's the lynch pin. If he doesn't, and I'm betting he doesn't, then Coach Stripling will get him a stud DE on Feb. 6th.

At the risk of invoking the wrath of the haters, I really, really like where UT has positioned itself with Carl.

I just don't see Clemson as a big threat and one wonders whether Carl is going to go to Auburn and be coached by Garner.

Stripling and Richardson are cut of the same mold as Carl -- technique, technique, technique.* There is just so much going for UT right now.* Lots of momentum.

UNC is a non-factor.

I would really, really like to see an update from Brent/Fort on Barber.* We could land a nice haul from Georgia with Jenkins, Lawson, Barber, and Bellamy.* If you haven't seen film on Barber, do yourself a favor and check it out.* It will make you less concerned about what decision Derrick Green makes.

re:UNC/UCLA I think he's figured out they aren't really in play and he may want to enjoy a warmer, vacation-type visit elsewhere.

Normally that would seem to*be true, but Carl has been to Auburn double-digit times.* If he goes on the 1st, he isn't going to see Dee Liner, Trey Johnson, or Reuben Foster, but he will see Rodney Garner.

I actually think that the trip to Auburn may help us.* He had a really, really good time in Knoxville.* I'm not sure Auburn could top it.

We'll see.* I would be more concerned if Dee Liner was visiting with Carl.
