Don't think it's a big deal, Carl is a shopping center restaurant, chilli's and chipotle kind a guy. He just does not want get lost in a city. Can't really get lost on the strip or Kingston pike.

Knoxville is pretty much like Alpharetta GA nothing to worry about there.

This is the reason I never have any respect for Alabama's football program. They do not play by the same rules everyone else does. People complain about Auburn paying Newton and no one ever questions when a kid makes a last minute change to Alabama.

I'm not so sure Lawson would be considering us as much as he is now if we didn't flip Jenkins. Getting Jenkins is great as it is but he could be the difference in getting Lawson & even Barber. That's what makes it even harder to understand why the hell Dooley didn't recruit him harder. Just stupid. Especially with him being a lagacy.

If this class finishes top 15 then Jenkins will be the most valuable sign! For the reasons you state here and the kid can play!! Great get for jones

He is the Vic Wharton of this class just joined a little later. They both bleed Orange and White and want other playmakers to join them on the Hill

Jones appears to have that "it" factor to get kids like this eager to fight for their program. I know this isn't going to be popular but he is right out of the mold of pearl and Franklin.

I agree with the Pearl comparison but not Franklin, and it's not just because he is Vandy's head coach. Living around Nashville I see/hear all of Franklin's media encounters and the guy is a genuine douche with an ego problem. That'll fly as long as he's winning but once Vandy stops playing Presbityrian and UMass and starts playing real teams every now and then his popularity will quickly decline.

I agree. I think those are good comparisons. If he can coach a lick, which I think he can, I believe he can have us competing for the east in a couple of years.

I would say that's a fairly accurate statement...except Pearl never had douchey business cards like this:

For the record, I don't typically read SBnation articles, and this one is a prime example. I just wanted to find a picture of it, as a friend sent it to me in a text the other day with the caption, "What a douchebag."
