Same here. I think we pull Bell as well, losing optimism on Green but still have confidence we get him, North is ours, and if Lawson commits and tries to build some momentum, something crazy might happen and we could steal Kamara or Ramsey or some other name we haven't even heard yet.

If you don't think and believe you will excel, you won't. That's how I look at it. Its not just being optimistic.

He is the consensus #1 DT QB in the class, he is an ESPN 150 and also in the top 247 at 247Sports. Is that irrelevant?

Any athlete can look good without pads. His high school coach won't release his film this year. Pretty telling. He has the potential, but would probably need a lot of work

According to AU Rivals, Carl Lawson continues to dominate, and it's not even close. There isn't an OT that has blocked him. Talking to another observer, he's outperformed Robert Nkemdiche.

We will have to see how CBJ does next year in order to determine whether or not he is a good recruiter. Unless he gets Lawson, Bell, Green and North, than he is a BA

Elaborate on how it is dumb. This is the typical response on this forum, like you recruiting guys are enlightened or some ****. How would getting one of the top rated QB's in this class hurt us at all? Even if he doesn't play a down in college he could have been in Green and North's ears all week this week if he was a commit.

1. We couldn't have been in their ears all week because it's the recruiting dead period and communications with recruits is limited.

2. Getting AW would probably have done very little in terms of helping us with DG or MN or any other prospect as well.

3. There is a lot of questions around this kid and there is no reason to take a kid you don't believe will be productive for your team.

Our staff is not in a position to waste time right now and his interest in us has probably been overblown a bit.

Lawson says he probably won't officially visit Auburn, because he's very familiar with Auburn. For his OVs, Lawson mentions UNC, Tennessee and Ole Miss.

I feel like Lawson could be CBJ Jarnell Stokes. A guy who we pull all the stops for and go from an afterthought to the penthouse with.

This is the guy we could look back years from now and say Carl Lawson started it all.

They best get a video of Reggie White, Leonard Little, and the other great UT Pass Rushers to show to Mr. Lawson in the new football complex.
