Sorry Sam..........I am done. Just thought some might be interested in why a former SEC team actually did leave. Should have been in a different thread but was responding to posts in this one.

If you vehemently defend an ACC team and criticize UT in the process, then yes you are a rival poster. You certainly don't sound like any real Vol fan I know.

Whatever. I was critical of the posts that was critical of the team I grew and will continue to cheer for. I married into a Vol family over 23 years ago. I pull for both and with all things being equal will still cheer for Tech over UT. But, I have been to more UT games over the last twenty years 10-1 over Tech but will not leave the team my dad taught me to love. If UT was undefeated and tech was a .500 team, of course I would pull for UT in that situation and GT if it was reversed. If you really want to take a few posts and deem me not a UT fan instead of looking at the other 1,000 then fine with me. But, I will stand up when a UT fan tells me GT sucks and is a ****ty school and will do the same if someone saids it about UT.

Always told people all schools have their idiots. UT and GT included. Some posters on here prove it. More of them are from Bama however.

I'm simply pointing out the fact that you're on a Vol forum taking up for the bumblebees. If a UT fan takes a stab, suck it up and move on. You're just cluttering up a thread, so just let it die. Whatever point you're trying to prove is IRRELEVANT.

Jacket was right but coming into a Vol board and say anything against the vols deserves the response. Yes not all vol fans are ignorant but the ignorance is on jacket not on the vols fans posting on a vols forum. We do welcome all fans here just don't start a battle.

Please just go back and read my entire post history over the years. It was not even a battle. It was just a point on why GT left the SEC almost 50 years ago and how we are somewhat relevent in college football and been to 17 straight bowl games. Gee Whiz........you would think I have pissed on UT for the last two years. It is not true. Just want some props to the Jackets from the Prat(who I really like as a poster) on the real reason they left and to not skew it as fact. Left a link that I thought some CFB fans would enjoy. And even said I hope UT will start a streak soon.

I blew out my whole sections and almost had a heart attack at Mizzou game over CDD laying down.

Gee Whiz! I know we are way down but this drama in the fan base to their own fans is ridiculous.

Just want to set the record straight......Native Atlantan who loves GT but has married into a Vol family and fell in love with my wife and the VOLS and hurt as much as guys who have followed it all their lives. NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE HATES GEORGIA AND BAMA ANYMORE THAN I DO!

The Vols need Lawson. Lawson, Carr, Bellamy, Trey Johnson, and VB are more needed than Derrick Green. Would love these guys and two other RB's we are on instead of Green and call it a day. Also, some big uglies interior DL and OL. This would be a class that can get UT started back to where we want it to be.

I also agree with some of the previous posters, having great rush DEs/DTs help the secondary tremendously, and they can use every bit of help they can get.
