'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

just curious, what dominos would/could be triggered by a commitment from Lawson?

You really can't say for sure. Its just a thing that makes recruits say "hey, look what the Vols are doing". Green and North would be more likely to commit as well because they wanna play with other big time players.

He's already said that he wants to be the one the class is built on. If he flips, the floodgates might open.

Imagine if Trey Johnson followed and if Levenberry showed a renewed interest. Add Vonn Bell and Bellamy and our defensive class could get real good.

Grace and Ngakoue aren't out of the picture as well. Irvin Sills and Hytchye are good pickups too.

Think we are out of the Levenberry sweepstakes, but if we could get Johnson, Bell, and Lawson that would be huge.

I still think it's crazy to say that we are the favorite when he is still committed to AU, but I think if and when he does decommit I like our chances with him. And yes dominos will fall and they will be huge for the class

We've got all the momentum. Hopefully we can seal the deal.

I would love to see a signing day surprise of Lawson flippin to UT, Carr, and Bellamy signing, to cap off with the LB from MD and Grace. :dance2:

Edit: I forgot to mention the big finale of V. Bell coming home!

"Not sure how they would spin that fact that Gardner came to Milton high school with a buzz and ignored Lawson, not offering him a scholorship until recently. But now its all good and he will be his coach?

I have a hard time believing Lawson senior would let that happen. The only good news Auburn can hope for is that Lawson Sr allowed Gardner in his house which was something he was not sure he would allow a couple of days ago.

I am not one to predict anything, but TN appears to be his best choice of the schools he likes right now. "

Most of this post is correct except for the statement about it being inevitable wherever he ended up. Pretty much any coach in the country could have done a better job of controlling him, except Richt maybe.

You may be right but I really think he probably is trouble no matter where he ended up. But nobody will ever know. I hope he has everything straight and goes out and gets paid.

AU hiring R.Garner is a very good thing for UT. Just like its a good thing on Levenberry that FSU hired Sal.

Just looking for clarification here nothing more. I assume he is talking about R Garner the new DL coach ay AU. Who was hired I believe after the dead period started. So is Uzzi saying that he just visited Lawson during the dead period?

I read the quote as him saying he isn't sure garner will be allowed into the home. Not that he has been in the home but the that is the best they can hope for
