'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

FWIW I heard Dee Liner is starting to look at Alabama. It'll be funny to see how quickly the people who have been calling him a "head case" praise Saban for taking a chance on a "troubled young man from a difficult background".

Actually a little late on that debate. It has been going on for over a month now between UA fans. Most feel his off the field issues are only a small glimpse into the future(including myself) where others feel if Saban is still recruiting him hard then there is hope. Actually pretty debate. But no I do not want to see him a part of the UA class and relly doubt he ends up anywhere other then AU.:hi:

He was flirting with bama even earlier. Agree about Liner's issues, which were reportedly swimming in a public pool after hours with friends and rushing into situation where local police were hassling his mom at a traffic stop. Alabama press all over the kid yet silence when a saban commit arrested for rape.

I would take Crayton over him any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Stud DL with out of this world strength and a chip on his shoulder to prove to everyone that he is the real deal; tremendous work ethic and great attitude!

Didn't know they are either or. Lawson would be a Jack.

Lawson reached out to UF on Sunday about an OV maybe for the SC game.

Some talk that Dee, Lawson and Williams are all making calls to other programs.

The last comment, why is it everything that happens to AU something is always deflected back to UA. No offense I just do not understand that mentality. This is the comments you find on the bunker. So petty and yes it goes on in both fan bases.

Regarding D Johnson the kid that was accused and arrested for rape twice I believe and it made national headlines across the country with ESPN and many other news outlets. News regarding slants to one school or the other it seems to go both ways in the state. Scarbinsky is so anti-UA it is funny. But why fans on both sides are so blind to it amazes me in AL.

It was not what Liner did but more that he got arrested twice in 10 days and compound that with the incident with his HC. He seems to have a lot of anger issues that get the better of him. Nothing compared to what DJ did but still that is why I am not that excited about him but some are.

It was because of certain camp things that would violate his state rules. Then the guy over the camp sent him home because he didn't want him sitting around or something.

Yeah, some Georgia high school association rule limiting number of times player can participate in these type of camps so he did not participate. Then there was an incident at the same event, The Opening, over a pizza when he spit on the pizza to prove it was his. He was asked to leave the event. Overall Lawson appears to be a very good kid and no other issues out there. IMO players of his caliber do have swag.

Not going to get in a pissing contest over this, but at least two Alabama newspaper reporters said AU should pull Liner's offer, but silence from these guys about UA kid.

But who cares and my point why is it an issue. Someone asked about what Liner did, not what the press did in regards to DJ, and part of your answer was a deflection to UA regarding a biased slant in the news coverage, which does not change what Liner did at all. It seems very petty in my opinion and has no value to what was asked.

Yes the media is biased when it wants to be. Look at Cam Newton. No matter if he is guilty or not the media handled it in a very unprofessional way in my opinion.

I think they've been unfair to Liner and he's been the victim of a couple of unfortunate circumstances. But what happened with Bama's commit (if I understand it correctly) is awful.
