A lot of Tennessee folks (including me) feel pretty good about our chances to land Lawson, especially if we continue to have a good season while Auburn is back to its normal, mediocre self. Your opinion on our chances with him??

Also something involving E Florence and R Therezie and why they are not on the field yet. A lot of different rumors about injuries or position changes but still interesting. Therezie's name has been coming up on some U boards and is being somehow connected with the NCAA investigation into S FL along with some questions on the recruitment on A Young. Not sure if you saw the pic of Trooper's business card floating last week from a boat trip in Miami with him and A Young before commiting.

Again just curious what you are hearing and the only thing that I do know for sure with all of this is the main recruiter for all these players in question is Trooper. After that it is all speculation or wishful thinking on some.

I've been in Birmingham all week so maybe I'm out of the loop. All I've heard about is on the field problems.

It's too early to tell what will happen with this staff. Obviously if there's a shakeup there, his situation could change. He and Dee Liner are also close and want to play together. He said recently he wouldn't take officials at least until after his high school season and probably not at all.

Obviously UT needs to convince him to back off that to have a real chance.

Would be shocked if they lost to ULM but can see them losing to A'M,LSU, Ala,UGA plus Ark. Auburn could easily be non bowl eligible this year and CGC on the hot seat big time.

I know Lawson is firm to AU but if he looks anywhere else I think UT will get the 1st look. JMO The only reason I could see him looking elsewhere is if AU dumps the season and/or the NCAA comes a calling. Well they are 0-2 and the smoke is getting thicker on the plains.

The 247 AU guy Phillip Marshall was asked and he can spin it better than anyone for AU.

Phillip~please tell me that this stuff about this ESPN supposedly releasing bad stuff on us is not true. I don't think I can take anymore negative stuff.

About damn time, is all I'm saying.

Not for Lawson.....but for UT to on our way back.

We're not there yet, but a win Saturday will propel us to heights we haven't seen in over half a decade.

Hope there is more fire than smoke on this Auburn debacle. Love to see Gene and Troop and the boys go down.

It would make me sick to see the boys on the plains get another out of jail free card.. like below

Tennessee is pushing very hard to get Lawson up this weekend. He remains Sal's top target for the jack LB.
Publicly Lawson is solid to AU, inner circles indicate he is not so much especially if they don't win this year.
