I don't make definitive statements often about where recruits will end up, but I seriously doubt Lawson signs with Auburn. He may not sign with UT, but I think Auburn has a very rough season and misses out on a bunch of top talent. 5th or 6th in the West isn't out of the question, and losing Chizik in that scenario wouldn't be totally out of the question either, but I don't think that's as likely.

I know I was giving you a hard time in the other thread, but I agree with this statement. While Chizik has recruited a bunch of talent in his short tenure there, Losing both coordinators(especially Gus Malzahn) in the offseason leaves a big question mark in my mind as to how good Auburn will be this year. Let's face it, Chizik wasn't warmly received when he was announced as the HC. A lot of that was due to his tenure at Iowa State. It will be interesting to see what kind of gameday coach Chizik is now that the architect of his offense is gone.

As for Lawson, we win 8 or 9 games this year, and I say we get Lawson and Hatcher. Kids taking visits doesn't equal solid verbals. Ask Dalton Santos and Otha Peters.

Concur. My Auburn friends say there are already rumblings that he got lucky with Cam and Gus, and a 6-6 season will probably get him canned. I'm not sure I totally agree with that, but I do think it will cause them to miss on a ton of recruits.

Let's not forget they lost their stud RB as well as their OC. Dyer won them several games last year.

The youth leagues here in East TN are not strong. A lot of that has to do with participation in Upward. I am not saying the program is bad, I'm saying the competition is. There is just not much learning past the introduction. This is just the experience I have had with Upward. Again, I have nothing against the principle of it. Just the effect it has on competitive sports.

I have seen guys who have coached high school basketball coaching in upward programs and I have seen some really good coaches in rec leagues. However, I have seen awful coaches in both. You have to do more than rec leagues and upward for a player with talent to really develop. One can be just as bad or good as others but the overall talent level in upward is usually not as good as in rec leagues.

Is mosely still the starter at qb for the barn? And who is their OC . Are they changing over to a new offense or keeping the same system Gus implemented?

Bump. Uzzi91, all the talk with Lawson loving UT and Sal seems to have died down...is Tennessee still in the game to flip Lawson potentially, or is he solid to Auburn now?

Wait until UL Monroe beat them next week. Who BTW is only down by 7 to Ark 28-21 right now in the 4th. Ark will be lucky to break .500, my guess 4 or 5 wins.

They said wilson went down tonight idk how bad? You seem pretty smart tide and well knowledged in recruiting I know foster is commited to Auburn. And so is linear? I think that's his name the kid that is a 5* and got suspended by his coach. If Auburn struggles again this year and goes 6-6 or so who do they keep? Are they shopping for a new coach?

Ark or Aub? I agree that Aub will be in the 4-6 win range. But Ark will do better than that.
