Sorry, my fault. I was actually trying to point out that the limpwristed way we raise kids these days leads to kids with inflated egos. My point is when you have kids with absolutely no talent thinking they do as the norm how inflated do you think the egos of the kids with actual talent will be. I can at least see the point of a talented conceited kid.
I wish I had posted nothing about it. I just thought it was funny. Last night with 90 plus heat index he was not being limpwristed as he wanted to go outside and hit. We worked for a little over an hour and our hair was wet like we poured water on it and sweated like pigs as he practiced hitting, fielding the triangle position and playing catch. He loved it and did not want to go in. Limpwristed are the kids who play video games all day to get their sports in. Giving a kid who is young a reward after playing all year and sticking with it is not a bad thing. Also, when they did not keep score in T ball, mine was always keeping up with it.
As far as Upward, IF you have the right coach, they can learn about Christ and some good basic fundamentals. I know a girl who played upward who is going into 4th grade and at college basketball camps, they put her in the middle school group. Upward is just as good a program as the Y for young kids. As they get older, it is good to get them into a good rec program if you have one in your area.
